Gap Width for Internal Double Doors

    How much of a gap in the wall should be left for internal double doors. It doesn't have to be on the wide side but a good 'standard size' is what I'm looking for. I've been told 68 inches but this seems like a lot to me.

    Allowing 63.1/2 for the two rebated doors, 3/8 for the side clearance, and a further 3.1/2ish for frames, leaves you with just enough to square the frame in the opening. So 68" is around the mark.......
