    Hes an absolute psychopath, shouldn't be let near a football field again.
    Every year he puts at least one player in hospital with a punch, headbutt or as i saw myself one day a knee to the face of an opponent breaking the guys nose and knocking out his teeth.
    how many more times will he get away with this?, he would be a decent footballer if he behaved but hes just a liability to any team.

    What exactly happened nevermind? You can pm me if you dont want to say here.

    Who would ye expect in the county final in hurling and likely to win.

    Ye play the cork champions in the semi final in cork.

    More than likely that the Cork champions will lose too to the Clare champions. I could see it happening.

    I'd make the Cork champions favourites tbh, the Clare championship only had one round played untill last week, there is still achance they won't get it finished in time and if they do the chances are the winners will end up facing the Cork champions and be playing for the 6th or 7th weekend in a row. Persoanlly I think the Munster final will be an all Sarsfields affair!

    Who are the other Sarsfields, I thought Thurles Sarsfields had been knocked out in Tipp?

    cratloe out after a draw with crusheen!!! inagh/kilnamona take there place in the quarters after there win over doora/barefield alarm bells starting to ring in both codes now

    cooreclare play cratloe next saterday in the football championship anyone sense a bit of a backlash as they are one of the main clubs to hold up the championship this year!!

    true cant realy blame them this year i sopose . i think the football championship needs them realy they have some great players most of them though are better hurlers,

    they have a huge advantage over cooreclare next week though given the fact they have'nt kicked a ball in 3 months the hurling will most likley stand to cratloe in the end!!

    I was at the game, cratloe did the most of the hurling and should have won it, last minute free for crushern to level it up. Good game I thought.

    I'd say the county board are delighted that Cratloe are out of the hurling purely because there is a decent chance that we will representatives in both hurling and football in Munster now. Did the group come down to scoring difference in the end for Cratloe not to get through? I thought that there was usually a playoff if teams finished level on points or was it scrapped so the championship would be finished this side of Christmas??

    They would definitely be favorites to beat Cooraclare just because of fitness alone and they should beat Kilrush in the quarter final too based on this. Kilrush or Cooraclare haven't played a championship game for at least 2 months

    yeah i heard that from a few people that went over to it, tough break for cratloe infairness would have been fancied to go along way i would have taught, they will have a big say in the football now!

    the hurling championship looks too close to call at the moment with the bridge ballyea newmarket all looking good there are alot of ex county players on that crusheen team aswill and will be very hard to put away clonlara and inagh will be tough too. throw kilmaley into the mix aswell they should beat tulla tomorow to go through

    its too hard to call at the moment but i would be edging twoards ballyea. they have a good but very young side with gary brennen showing he's nearly as good a hurler as he is a footballer!!!

    agreed plus i heard miltown gave kilrush a bit of a hideing in a challange match a few weeks ago something like 1-13 to 7 points or something..........not excatly championship winning form!

    Miltown aren't a bad side, saw them hammering Kilmihil, but unless Cooraclare win next weekend I can't see Kilrush getting past Cratloe. If Cooraclare lose next weekend they play Clondegad with the winners playing Doonbeg, Cooraclare V Doonbeg would be very interesting!

    yeah i was there aswell they have some very good young players coming through that are full of running and missed nothing, i think cooraclare have lost all momentum out of the teams that are left atleast kilrush clondegad and doonbeg got to play a few games since round one

    Newmarket must surely be favourites now to retain the title?

    Although if the weather gets worse I think Crusheen will be in the mix, they thrive on the wet day and can grind out wins

    i have'nt seen enough games to agree/disagree with you but i imagine the quick fire nature of the championship opens things up which is why i said ballyea as they have one of the youngest teams in left plus they looked very good last sunday against wolfe tones albeit senior B , crusheen will have a big say no matter what the wether , sixmilebridge would be another team to worry about i would have taught,

    A win for cratloe would have seen the group be decided on scoring averages with Inagh-Kilnamona losing out. Had Cratloe won by even a pt, I-K would have needed a 20 or so pt win today, as it was they won by around 11.

    2 teams level on pts is decided on the head to head game, 3 or more level on pts and scoring averages are used to decide who goes through and who doesn't .

    A nice slice of luck will be needed to win it out imo as teams may be hit by even niggling injuries such will be the short turn around between games.

    A group of us were talking about Ballyea a while ago, a problem I see for them is they're lacking a few 'senior' players. Undoubtably they have a great young spine but I'd wonder if they have enough to fill out every position or are they carrying a few passengers?

    Then again Clonlara were backboned by the U21s the yr they won it, all about momentum from here on in.

    Draw for Q finals on Monday night.

    I presume they will go ahead with the hurling quarter finals next weekend and Cratloe V Cooraclare in the football but I wonder how they would have arranged the fixtures if Cratloe were still in the hurling

    1/4 Finals: Newmarket v Inagh/Kilnamona; Crusheen v Ballyea; Sixmilebridge v Tubber; O'Callaghans Mills v Clonlara. all this weekend as far as i know

    blues/ballyea/clonlara/ and the bridge to progress for me!!!

    Clonlara as a 2nd place senior A got the easiest draw as they avoided a senior A group winner. The Mills ran them close last yr at the same stage so it should be an interesting one. Probably be on in Sixmilebridge, as for the others maybe a double header in the park and 1 stand alone in Clarecastle? Cooraclare and Cratloe in the park in senior football on Sunday.

    Your making a big call going for V Ballyea V Crusheen there, I think the Mills have a better chance of taking Clonlara tbh

    I agree , think clonlara are vulnerable , crusheen will be hard to beat as will nmof , presumably a fresh draw for semis or is it drawn already ?

    Anyone know why the bridge are top of the group. They're on equal table points, have a lower score difference, and scored less total points than Clonlara. Does it go down to "Goals For" before points difference / total points scored?

    I'd guess that the tie breaker is decided on the who won the match between the two teams tied on the same number of points. That's how it's done here in Limerick anyway. (And in the National Hurling league)

    What happened to Cratloe? I was expecting them to come out of that group. Have I under estimated Inagh/Kilnamona or is their progression seen as a surprise?

    Rule 6.20 (5) County Championships
    If a Championship is partly organised on a League basis, the following Regulations shall apply:
    (a) League results shall be credited as follows: 2 points for a win, and one for a draw.
    (b) If a Team is Disqualified or Retires during the course of the League Stage, its played Games shall stand and its unplayed Games shall be awarded to the Opposing Teams.
    (c) Except where provided for otherwise in County Bye-Law or in Competition Regulation, when Teams finish with equal points for Qualification for the Concluding Stages, or for Promotion or Relegation, the tie shall be decided by the following means and in the order specified:
    (i) Where two Teams only are involved - the outcome of the meeting of the two Teams in the previous game in the Competition;
    (ii) Scoring Difference (subtracting the total Scores Against from total Scores For);
    (iii) Highest Total Score For;
    (iv) A Play-Off.

    They beat Cratloe in May. I would imagine that result would be reversed if they met now. Saw them against StJoseph's and really they aren't up to much.

    Crusheen, SMB, Clonlara and Inagh/Kilnamona to advance. Think the amalgamation might have a surprise in store for the Blues
