    I have a 40 i was in a house recently with a 55 inch and i thought it was too big. I'm just interested in getting an idea of average sizes in other houses.

    22" and its a widescreen so everything is very small (but at least nothing looks too blocky!) I'm sat about 8 feet away.

    My old CRT died at the start of the 2010 world cup and I was just thinking about getting a telly and being able to carry it home - not how big it was.
