Needs a window for the rear right door. one should be got easily in a breakers. edit: just realised it's a 1.6:o

But... It needs a window. Technically a fixerupper. Any car here should have no faults, just get in and drive. Not extra expense when buying

It's hardly a scrap heap just because it has no test:rolleyes:

That's the point. It hasn't one. Shouldn't be in here. Very quick to defend such crap yet dismiss a Jag with a valid NCT.....

I wasn't aware that it hadn't a test that's why I said ''no mention of nct''. No that you have so kindly made me aware of it having no nct I will go and post it in the fixer-upper thread:)

You need to double check these things, if I see no mention of an NCT I won't post it no matter what it is...... ;)

You can check it out if you like, 01ld1180

Don't be so ridiculous. The op came in here looking for a car under 700 with a test until next February/march. This car fits that criteria. That window is a very minor issues and will cost very little to put right. I did fail to see they were looking for a 1.4 though.

Its still an expense on top of the initial purchase now isn't it..... How many more times do I have to say it: extra money to be spent on a car that's been just bought. We can't have the op with a frozen arse coming into winter

The op will buy that car knowing they have to spend extra money on top of their budget to get the car right. It doesn't make sense that such a yoke would be suggested

    Also a fixerupper

Go on check it out, I've been kind enough to supply the reg and all. If it was that reliable why isn't it NCT'd ;)

Their budget is 700. The car is 650. One of those small windows will cost fe*k all in a breakers.

Can the op fit it themselves? How much to pay someone to fit it?

Posted in the fixer upper thread now. Also an NCT is not indicative of a cars reliability;)

True but that xk8 qualifies more as a bangernomic as at least it had a valid nct.

The xk8 is bangernomics, it meets all the criteria.
Few minor fixes at best, but none of them are required to drive it.

I would go so far as saying that the xk8 is the best bangernomics car ever posted in this thread.

Why are you telling me I couldn't care less where it goes. Still a bucket of crap in my eyes that some idiot will put back on the road "because its a toyota"

Of course its not but it doesn't meet the criteria of this thread. Why hasn't it been NCT'd? Does the owner not care about their car? Still, way I see it it's a bland car for a bland person...... And I guarantee if I had it I'll break it in no time, delightfully ;)

    Back to bangers
    NCT till March, 1850

    Nice petril Mondeo :p

    NCT Due: Oct 2013
    Passed NCT 2nd Feb 2013.

    Which one is it?

Even if they could fit it themselves, a decent indy should have no bother fitting it. I can't imagine a glass like that costing no more than 20 in a breakers. Just as an example there is one here for 15 pounds in the uk http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Mazda-323-00-OSR-Quarter-Glass-PartsForU1-/330841028048?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item4d07a975d0

I'd say it was NCT tested late

No point guessing what a part will cost, ring them tomorrow and ask how much.

But then the cost of the labour? Just if the OP couldn't fit it themselves, that's the budget gone over! Clutching at straws....

Just be a good boy and stop arguing. We all make mistakes, we need others to point them out in order for us all to move on and learn. It's ideal for the other thread, not here :)

Indeed I agree with you. I wasn't aware that it didn't have a valid nct. However by dgt's estimation that jag shouldn't be posted in here either.

    I rang about it.

Headliner is hanging down, passenger headlight needs replacing, and lacquer is peeling from the bonnet.

About 500-650 to get it right.
