If you change PC are your steam games and game data saved?

All in the title I guess,
I'm just wondering if I can change PC without moving my steam files to an external hard drive. I would appreciate some help, Thanks :)

Wrong forum, but besides that, if you don't move the files, it means downloading them all again, and in the case of the save games, only if they're on the Steam cloud service.

You can also transfer data between devices if you know where steam saves the data.

I have FM 2012 on both desktop and laptop for on the move. I transfer the save files onto a USB so i can continue the same game on both as it does not utilise the 'steam cloud'.
