Mortgage broker - do they get better rates that punters off the street ?

If I call in in person Ive to do the donkey work - thats ok I dont mind.

But do brokers get better rates and pass them to you?

Broker are good at getting the banks to give you the mortgage. I know people who have gotten a bigger mortgage off the brokers than if they dealt with the bank directly.

I imagine a good broker could negotiate you a rate discount more than you.
