The 98fm sticker really sets it off!

The interior is ridiculously clean also. It'll be sold by morning no doubt.

You think but its most likely potential buyer is a young person and the problem there is its over 10 years old. Insurance companies won't first time insure young people on cars over 10. That's one if the main reasons why ten year old small stuff is worth a fortune at the moment

Asking €2500/Swap or "make an offer". NCT 'til Jan 2014.

That Merc looks sh1te with those wheels and chrome arches IMO . Not Bangernomics priced either.

Anyway, Volvo S60 2.0 with LPG and 6 months NCT for €1450, "price negotiable".

    Nice finds, Red Kev.

LPG is bringing bangernomics to a whole new level. Costs less to run than a modern diesel with none of the potentially expensive diesel related issues. Gives the owner the opportunity to run something nicer than a tiny 1.4 family hatch

This thread needs more LPG cars!

Beemer looks nice enough, but the Volvo, why do an LPG Conversion and then sell it withing the year or less? Funnily that car is the first one that comes up when you search 's60 lpg conversion'.

I'd have to agree. I'm never keen in seen a car that has just being obviously washed in the last while and is still wet when the pics are snapped.

Also he mentions its got a unique reg...02-WX-2....fair to say all car regs are unique, or you'd be hoping they are anyway. If I must be really pedantic its not a 5 door, rather a 4 door and its got more than 94 miles up on it:P

Doesn't have leather, not a hell of a lot of test left on it and the less desirable manual. Doesn't represent value at the €2,500 asking price in my opinion.

Proper modern frugal motoring, get it LPG'd and **** that daysil nonsense! 1850 is asking, 1700 wouldn't be too cheeky, IMO.

And now for something completely different. Nice way to slug people around... Won't be the fastest, but comfy at least!

    650 with fresh NCT. http://cars.donedeal.ie/cars-for-sale/bmw-518-i/5762965

Huge milage, but could be a nice stop gap, especially if you have a bigger engine you could put in it... ;)

I looked at switching but the outlay v return wasn't enough for me 'cause I wasn't doing the mileage - which is why I bought a petrol.
I am looking at at least €1000 for a good conversion. I would be lucky to be doing 20,000 km a year in the car in question. So, the savings would have to be spread out over a few years for me, and to be honest, I couldn't really be bothered as I will probably shift the car on by then.

    oblic car:

    Edit:
    03 BMW 318
    2.0l Petrol
    94k miles
    nct
    €1950

Sounds to me like you didn't bother with the auld excel ;)

At 20k km per year and say you're averaging 30MPG (and on LPG you will average 25MPG), it will only take 10 or 11 months to make back your full €1,000 investment in your conversion. After that you start saving serious money...

You are right, I didn't use any de 'ol excel. Still, I carpool now and the upside of my miles would be 20k. Last year I think I did 16k. Laying out a G on the conversion isn't that easy (for me at the moment) It will be the new year before I can do it realistically and it will be year two of ownership of the car. I intend to change soon after two years of ownership - then again the investment might make me keep it.
Another small point is the lack of garages. This isn't really a deciding factor as I live in the city but Mrs cadaliac is from Donegal and I spend a nice bit of time up there - where there f all LPG stations. Still, only a small gripe. Wouldn't be a deciding factor.

Anyway, work commute is barely €50 a week, which is divided by two at the moment, so not worth it (for me) right now.
If my circumstances change, (change jobs or loose the carpool) I will definitely convert. No brainer for a thirsty petrol.

If the BS-plucked-out-of-no-where official figure was 29 mpg, I'd say so.
