    Hi pgal,

If your Bank of Ireland account is within Republic of Ireland you can cancel the direct debit through your online banking.

To cancel a Direct Debit, please log into your account online and select 'Manage Accounts' from the left hand side of your Homepage, then select 'Manage Standing Orders and Direct Debits'. You will then see the 'Direct Debit' you wish to cancel.  You will need to cancel the Direct Debit before 3.30 pm on the working day before it leaves your account.

If your Bank of Ireland account is a Sterling account, you can call your branch to cancel your direct debit. A representative will be happy to assist you. Please see contact details for your branch here

    Thanks

    Alison
