Have you told the lady friend you want to downsize? :pac:

I'm sure she doesn't mind the 3inch diameter, I'd safely say she rather likes it :pac:

I see, if Im ballsy enough I might have a go at doing my own one's along with a bit of a refurb, one or two have seen better days, although, the bumper job was enough so doing alloys, hmmmm, something you don't wana screw up and knowing me

I think the top of the spire has a diameter of a manhole cover iirc..... :p

I'll be refurbing some wheels I got for the 406 (maybe the style 33's too) if you want to see how its done feel free to wander this way ;)

If you don't want them perfect, you can actually do a fairly decent job if you go about it the right way. Sand/shot blast them, Fill, sand, etch prime, and the usual steps and you'll get about as good as you can. Particularly if you take your time and sand between primer layers, etc.

Did conzys nearly 2 years ago and they're still alive :D

If you want them perfect, powdercoat is your only choice tbh.

Excellent! Well that won't be for a bit, I need to source out some spacers, cursed 31ET wheels rub the arches! :(

Anyone know anyone selling some 15mm spacers for a 108PCD?

Now I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to these kinda things, but it's something I'm genuinely interested in so see points in bold :pac:

I don't have/can't get to the sand blasting, and the usual step are what?

I like to know what I have to do step by step, in great detail, blame college, If I can find a drawing I done you'l understand :pac:

Well whenever you're doing it, I'll be on hand, blast! a few of the young uns in college have cars apparently, although none of them can actually drive aforementioned cars  so I'll ask them in the hope that maybe one of them might know

Somewhere around you will do sand/shot blasting or even better, bead blasting. Not that expensive either if you ask nicely :P

Usual steps for painting anything really. Few layers of primer, dust it on to start, build up in layers. Leave to dry overnight ideally. Same for paint. Then follow instructions on the laquer.

If you even google DIY wheel refurb you'll get the steps laid out :)

From what I remember, we essentially baked conzys ones overnight after primer and again after painting, by lining them up and blowing a 2-3000W fan heater through them :D

And did you use a gun or cans? ahh yes, well if that's the case i might be a bit more basic, and use my fire and a hairdryer :pac:

Gotta make do with what you have!

The sooner review week comes the better, I've an entire center console that needs doing and a few other bits and bobs, I'f I can get the console done and plastidipped and make a start on the alloys I'd be a happy pickle :pac:

And on that note I'm off to bed! :D

Did about 300km yesterday and had a few showers and the window coating is amazing stuff. Such a small thing but means driving in poor weather is that bit easier. Money well spent. Has me totally convinced on getting the whole car done now.

What are you ordering now? Thought your car was done?

I'm going to re-do the coating on the windscreen and maybe apply another coat to all other glass. Also need to remove a few scratches from the windscreen while I'm at it.

I only got 1 coat of EXO done last time. I ordered enough this time to do another 2 coats on the paintwork aswell as 2 coats on the alloys.

Behind a vito van today lads couldn't have been standard, he gunned it as I was behind him and he had been doing 60mph in slow traffic, all of a sudden it was accelerating as hard as the 530d could!
Never seen the like of it! Are these things notoriously fast or what?
