Time to turn on the subtitles.

There would be some laugh if they had Peter Fitzpatrick, Louth T.D., on the show.
Damien is bad enough but Peter is ten times worse.

I'm not mad about this unelected Constitutional Convention deciding serious Government Policy.

As bad as the members of the Dáil are, at least somebody voted for them.

I hope the powers that be in FG give them vouchers for the Communications Clinic for Christmas.

It sums up the sorry state of Irish politics when Willie O'Dea is still in the Dail.
    He really has some neck.

    Ah FFS.
A guy who can't talk properly and Willie O' Dea.

Even Eamon Ryan would be better.

    Its his night off.

He tops the poll in Limerick because he is a fierce parish pump politician and that's all that matters to some people, unfortunately.

I don't usually agree with Willie O'Dea but he is correct about the rigid nature of our Whip system.

Most parliamentary democracies allow a free vote in some limited issues of conscience. Large numbers of Conservative and Lib Dem MPs defied their Government to vote against war in Syria - they received no sanction.

I think Enda used the Abortion Vote as a cynical opportunity to lance some of his internal critics.

Somebody re-elected him, just as for years somebody re-elected Jackie Healy-Rae.
    There's no accounting for taste

It takes about a minute after Damien has spoken for me to realise what he has said.

There is no compulsion on any TD to vote in any particular way or to be a member of a political party. The whip system is a self-imposed method of keeping political parties together. Nothing in the constitution obliges any TD to obey a whip.

Certainly Mr McAuliffe is CEO of Truly Irish anyways....... (2nd from left) pic from their website from 2012, with Simon Coveney !! Wonder does he know the link between that haulage company and the company he's linking arms with?
