Damn those x-worx,for when joe bloggs was just not clownish enough.Unfortunately got the surplus stringy bits at the side caught on door handles far too often.

One year there was a big rave at the dome in tralee, just before the rose of tralee and the 4th Dimension were headlining.Saw the worst attempt ever at undercover policework that night,2 lads in wrangler jeans with check-shirts and denim jackets in their 40s,one bald with a tash, goin around askin everyone if they "could buy some drugs".

I ended up at one in Enniskerry about 10 years ago. Spent most of the night talking to a tree I'm told.

Must do the guards stopped me in Maam last July and asked me if I was going to one, there were searching cars. And my cousin organised a couple in east Galway before but I only heard about it after some complaints in the newspaper.

There's a decent underground scene here in Dublin, if you know the right people.

Hang around the right clubs and you'll get wind of something OP, always something going on ;)

I heard there's still Raves up in the hills of East Clare, English hippies pumping out old school tunes....

Not in the scene anymore, but loved it in its day. ...

Sir Henry's Cork, Sex Kitchen Galway, Katie Dalys in East Clare....

    [old] Try late 80s/early 90s even :o [/old]

Watching the sun come up at a big gathering when you're still in bits is something that will never leave you.

    Still adore those tunes.

I went to 2 creation parties in Devil's Glen in the early 2000s - anyone else there?

I went to some of the original Freedom to Party gigs, they were very well organized but a bitch to find out about and to find. And there were a few off shoots like Fred, Tom and Pauls which were also good.

remember the local hardcore feminists taking issue with the name and the posters and writing to the papers about it? No, seriously, do you remember or did I forget that along with my shoes on Silver Strand at an after party? :D

Could well have happened. Most of the 90's is somewhat of a blur to me;) :pac:.

I was most likely at those Silver Strand parties too.

All this overwrought nostalgia is like the 90's equivalent of two hippies going on about the time they took acid at Woodstock.

yeah mate, the brother was at one down in leitrim during the summer, seems to be a regular enough occurence in that part of the country, lots of new-age types residing there.

i'll ask him where/how he found out or if he knows anything

I've got a roll of film (remember them?) undeveloped from a creation rave in Donabate from about 10-11 years ago. Might get it developed and scanned in. Dreading it though as some questionable fashion sense existed back then.

    What exactly were they ?

Whats the difference between all the different ones like why are some called "creation raves" etc?

I was only born in '93 so I'm too young to have ever gone

The only raving i do anymore is in bed after drinking four pints and have fcuking goblins and rats chasing me around the place.

Was at a rave at the octagon about 3 years ago, what a spot! The dungeon underneath was rocking all night! Some job dragging the gear up and down though :D
