Theres a few 04 registered ALFA's out there that are pre facelift so could be one that was built but never registered until 2010.

I know of a 166 thats being broken at the moment. It was built in 2001, but reg plate is 2004.
Though the last 156 was produced in 2005 (Q4 was built until 2007) so its plausible?

    What way were the lights?

    sorry, mean alfa

I was behind it so couldn't see the front but it almost looked like the 159 from behind

it was 100% 156 had JTD beside it as well

    Was a wine coloured

and that gtv in wicklow has fallen in price:D

And you'll get it for less than that too ;)

I bet he is kicking himself he didn't accept my offer at the time. And with hindsight I'm bloody well delighted he didn't accept it.

    Mmmmm sunny

The touristy wimminz think I'm a local.... Maybe they were looking for directions :pac: now if I were on the hunt think I'd have them after me, they'd be runnin away! :p

This place is bliss to me, sun sun sun, tall tanned wimminz, cheap booze, almost exclusively euro stuff, plenty of Fiat group stuff but more importantly to me plenty of Bravos, most are 1.8GT's :D Some are tastefully modified, saw a TD125 and all :D:D:D any jap stuff is usually fairly interesting eg GTO's, Infiniti V8 suv ¿?, Pulsar GTI-R etc, no bland generic sh*te  well there are Prius' but most are taxis.... Plenty of ads for japs and koreans and no one here is buying them!

Plenty of old stuff here too, mk 1 Clios, 21's (when was the last time one was seen on the road in Ireland?) ancient Ducatos, Scrotums/Onions etc..... Stuff of yester-millenium

Nearly all diesel yokes too. Any Primera I've seen was a 2.0TD.... Its almost as if they want me to stay here! Fuel is generaly the low 1.40's with repsol anyway

I think houses are cheap here and all, I'd like to move here some time ;)

Oh well. Back to my car sooner then I know it.....

    Ill be that prick tomorrow.
I was the highest bidder for three days, then someone came in and bid 50c more.

So I have my alarm set to go off 5 minutes before bidding finishes.:D
Feel a bit of a prick doing it though as i was talking to the seller on another forum.

Does anyone have an opinion on Citroen C4's? I don't want to make a thread until I make my mind up if I'm going for a banger or a new car. I'm strangely attracted to these however. I'd much prefer a DS4 but I don't want a massive loan. VRT is a killer.

I had the bid I had on screen done and then had a maximum bid for them to fight magically up to but they still got me!

I have a strange habit of liking cars that everyone else hates. I drove a C4 and DS4 back to back. The DS4 felt great while the C4 felt like a half finished DS4..............which it is.

Still though, the side profile can be challenging.

Only Citroen I'd own would be either a DS (real one!) or perhaps a fully kitted out C6 with air.

You'll be sorry you didn't go for the DS4 every time you look at it.

I'll have to decide before next weekend what I'm doing. I'd love a DS4 to be honest.

With all due respect I think you would be better off with a Toyota dude.

(Can't believe I just said that!)

I had a spin in a 406 today and no wonder dgt loves them it was like driving about in a big cumfy couch. This one was 03 and very well finished too, I think I will buy one when the Avensis dies. Oh wait...... I will probably be dead first..

Be weary of making a bet like that... Leave that avensis with me I'll kill it in no time, I've killed a few unbreakable yokes in my time ;)

I've never killed a Toyota but I just don't like them. Maybe an Auris HSD but that's about it.

Never saw the point of buying a brand new car myself, unless i won the lotto which would be different.

some used cars still have warrenties on them anyway.

but id go cheap option anyway on a car that i only want for 2 - 3 years.

I know going new seems like madness but over the past few years I've bought a huge number of lemons. I'm just sick of breakdowns and shyte.

I'd love to buy new everytime myself so i know the full history of the car and warrenty etc but i dont think it is worth it if you can find a car with a good history and proof of that for cheap money that will last a good time.

plus new cars can break down too, then theres recalls etc. I know the new toyotas/peugeots/criteons are giving off gearbox issues as of late.

Very true indeed. You can't win I guess.
