Direct Debit payment and Paperless billing which is the only discount available to me
= Advantage Utility Company for which in return EI offer a tiny discount per bill of about €5 which is fair enough.

However I resent being tied into a 12 month+ contract in order to avail of this so called 'value reward offer' which if ever I should decide to jump ship during contract will cost be a penalty of €50

Maybe its time to get a wind turbine out the back.:(

Would registering a gas account with us be a possibility?

Electric Ireland customers for electricity can avail of 10% off each fuel if they sign up to our Dual Fuel plan.

Hi Una,

I don't have gas so that is not an option. Will just have to check the best price available first in future before renewing any DD & on line billing discount.

But there is little or no difference between all ye energy suppliers when the chips are counted, no real competition out there at all, like we were promised.

The only thing we can count on is ever increasing prices.......... and price plans that are more designed to confuse and trap than to actually reward good customers.
