Pontins or Haven Holidays

Hi All as the title says
Wales prestatyn Pontins or Haven ,which is the better place to go to ?
3 families all with 3 kids.
oldest 15 youngest is 2
also will be 2 20 something year olds.

Has anybody been to either of these in the last year.
Looking at the reveiws they dont look good but its different to courtown.
Just looking for change of scenery

cant go elsewhere as some will be traveling on the coach.
what do you all recommend

Haven is 100 times better than Pontins. Much cleaner, up to date and loads going on! Pontins is a dump

Ha! Funny you should ask that. Stena sent me a deal for midterm breaks and I went researching.

I dont know if you know who Britannia Hotels are, but lets just say they have a reputation. They now own Pontins Southport, maybe all Pontins, I assume they do.

All I am going to say is: LOOK AT THE PHOTOS.

Case closed, for me anyway, and if you have ANY sense, you as well. Of course, I am assuming that if they allow one to be like this, the rest would be suspect.

Yeah, Brittania now own all Pontins. Being from Liverpool myself, I have been to Southport Pontins years ago. I guess if I was to walk in there now it would look no different. Like a time warp

Was at Haven Prestatyn 3 years ago and will never ever set foot in the place again, it was awful. The only nice thing was the caravan we stayed in, very nice, but the place itself was old and dated. 2 playgrounds in the place, one at the front gate and one in the centre of the site, which was not suitable for young children. To get to the bar or any of the restaurants, you have to walk through the arcade, and when you got to the bar, which is where the kids clubs were held, the carpet was damp and the floor was sticky !!! The indoor pool was fine, just old.
