Legend has it that there was close to 500 people outside kildare coco today

I was number 678 today in Tullamore and I got there shortly after two. They had to turn people away at 3.30. Was mental.

I was in Portlaoise at 2 and fights were breaking out with people jumping the queue!
One guy was there with his 6 month old twins from 11 and was just getting in the door at that stage!
I was in the queue that took like 5 mins for keeping something off the road that had already been off.
If you now wanted tax there was a 3 hour wait!

    Offs

It seems from two weeks time I'll need a fob to get in and out of my estate however we've never been given one.

    Any cheap solutions?

    Depends on the type.

My zapper calfed recently and the mgt co wanted €80 for a replacement. Bought one online for a score and programmed it myself. ;)

Now that's interesting. All I know is that it must be some sort of remote as people press a button off in the distance for it to work. You don't drive up to the gate and wave it in front of the boxes. I'm sure my description there is terrible but you get the idea. Are they hard to programme?

He did drop a lawnmower on his foot at the weekend and I kindly taped up his damaged toe, fed him painkillers, massaged his foot with cold gel, and rotated several icepacks on it.

Sounds similar to what I have.

Piece of piss - just shove a few switches in to place. You might have to borrow a neighbours for comparison. Find out the zapper type and get back to me. ;)

Nice one. I'll try ask one of the neighbours during the week. In the mean time I'm trying to get the letting agent to get me one. :)

...I scrapped a car a few years ago to a local lad for parts - cars more then likely still in my name -are theygoing to look for backtax off me now?

    2 things I didn't know this morning

    They're doing a 1.6 diesel honda cr-v

They've stopped making the Aston Martin Cygnet

Letting agent should be supplying you one FOC.Might ask for a deposit possibly to cover loss

A deposit is fair enough. I've no issue with that. I've also just realised I need a utility bill to show as proof of address when the engineer is around programming the fobs. I've nothing in my name coming to this address as I get everything sent to my home address. I'm hoping the letting agent could send me out something. I doubt that would be a problem.

I've had an evening of car shyte and this is just one of those niggly issues that's getting under my skin.

Yeah theyll be looking for a couple of grands worth of tax of you at this stage:pac:

If the cars ever put back on the road, it'll have to be put in his name.
More than likely it's had anything of value stripped of her, and the scrap metal sent to the crusher.

Presumably it won't be long before they have a replacement for the Cygnet considering it's needed to offset the emissions of their bigger engines?

Could someone just clear this up for me. If I buy a car several years out of tax is anyone (i.e me) liable for the back tax or can I just tax it from now on?

Exactly where was this as it sounds EXACTLY like where I'm living. Would it be named after the most expensive square on the monopoly board?

That would be the one; presuming it is "The SB" and not "SB Park which is next door. Won't the fob be easier than getting in an out of the car to open the gate. Where I live in London, the car park system has run out of space for new fobs and new people have to ring up a number for access - the gate opens so long as their number is registered. I don't like that system and seeing as 9 cars had their drivers windows caved in last week (including one of mine), I'm not sure how much longer it is going to last. I see that there's a huge newbuild for sale there now too. Maybe it's finally becoming the ambassador's residence it claimed to be aiming at. I remember watching it being built when travelling on the DART in and out to work/home in 89/90. I now feel officially old (even though I was but a teenager then).

Yep. That's the one. We are in no 15 at the back. It would be easier to have the fob but I just don't want to pay for one.

Just a random thought but how many people would be interested in getting a boards sticker for their car, one to go in on the window or something? I seen Ded_zebra's sig and it got me thinking, could have our user names on them or something like that?

It's cropped up time and time again - Basically you're affiliating yourself with boards, which if you drive like an asshole then reflects badly on them and so on so forth.

In short, It won't ever happen.

This has been done a million times dude - doubt it will ever happen and I can see why to be fair.
