I had it Streaming anything while watching anything last night but I wiped out my half done image and loaded TechGuy's. I've re-started from scratch again to make a new image. Moment of madness but that's the way it goes :(

Hi all was hoping someone can help me out. I have been using the latest HDMU image on enigma2. I upgraded through spark using the e2upgrade plugin. The problem is the plugins won't work cooltvguide etc. I have tried to flash both championc's images. I have tried both the usb way where i get the T TO error. I have also tried the e2upgrade plugin no joy either. Its a kingston USB formatted to fat32 and has worked before. Anyone any ideas?

Using the e2upgrade plugin and it not working doesn't sound right. What happens when you select the directory and then press the Red button to Upgrade ?

anyone know how to access the wifi settings? I am using 3G for internet access.

I can normally see it (HDMU & AR-P) under setup>systems>network. All I can see are LAN settings. Any pointers appreciated.

Sorry guys, jumped the gun. I can stream a channel from the same transponder, but not from another one. I can stream a Soarview channel while a sat channel is playing, just cannnot two sat channels from different transponders.

I can watch one Sat channel on my TV and stream any another Sat channel to my laptop.. works in both HDMU and AR-P. I use OpenWebIf not WebInterface. Of course you need two cables running from the dish.. one into Tuner B and one into Tuner C. I configured my Tuners this way...

    Tuner A:
    Configuration Mode: enabled
Terrestrial provider: Europe, Middle East, Africa DVB-T frequencies
Enable 5V for active antenna: off

    Tuner B:
    Configuration Mode: simple
    Mode: single
    Satellite: Astra 1N/2A/2F/Eutelsat 28A (28.2E)
    Send DiSQqC: no

    Tuner C:
    Configuration Mode: simple
    Mode: single
    Satellite: Astra 1N/2A/2F/Eutelsat 28A (28.2E)
    Send DiSQqC: no

    Flex

Streaming does not work on that Hybrid, Openwebif works, I can web login from laptop or phone but cannot stream to either.

Did you possibly download in the first half hour I had it up? as I updated the link with an image that allows streaming.

Did you set up tuner c as I must have had that disabled? I tested streaming and was working fine before I uploaded the image.

I did. I got it to watch s Sly channel while streaming a FTA but it just would not dual decrypt.

I've rebuilt it again from scratch, starting with PLi v13092013 and it does the double decryption. Just need to start adding all the plugins in now

No, i downloaded it at the time and then re downloaded it later. The image streams on the first sat tuner, but the second sat tuner is configured right but not working for streaming or recording. Can you confirm it works for you, that you can stream/record a different sat channel to the one being watched.

Think I'll wait in HDMU, I'm seeing a slight bit of glitching with this one

When a channel is playing its fine but when I pull up an on-screen menu I too am seeing a glitch.

I can't say that I noticed any glitching on my side. It's impossible to know exactly what the Yellowking guy has done to his image.

Sorry to bump this but I was hoping to get the problem fixed over the weekend if anybody had any ideas as to what could be wrong.

    Thanks

Does anybody know if there is an issue with watching IPTV channels in TS Media 3.2? I usually just use TS Media for the movies and net tv sections and also the radio section. I often use Veetle too. Occasionally I also look at some of the IPTV channels (particularly the US ones)

Havnt been in the IPTV section for a few weeks but was off work today so decided to check out a few channels. None of them are coming on though. The channel name is not even coming up on the display on the box. All other sections on TS Media are working fine though.

In addition I have different IPTV bouquets that I got from running the IPTV list updater 1.0. plugin. None of those channels are coming on either. Is there some setting that I might have accidentally turned off?

    Thanks

Also getting some very peculiar random snags with TheTechGuys image. HDD mounting, HDMI handshake doesn't always work, pot luck which cool guide you get(if any) and others. Think I'll stick with Champs for the mo, but cheers TheTechGuy for taking the time to give it a go.
    Ahh such fun;)

Yep they are stacking up now which is a pity as I did like some aspects of the default epg.

Sorry guys, must make sure to do more thorough testing next time. I only downloaded it yesterday morning but I wasn't getting any of the glitches that yous are getting. EPG loaded up fine as did the hd mounting.

@championC what did you do differently when you got streaming working properly in your image. I just copied the two folders from Hyperion2. Do I need to do something else?

Nothing else - I just started from the blank virgin image from Sourceforge

Found another bug in Hybrid, I left the box on standby last night when I went bed and now I cannot connect with the phone app to set a timer, it must have gone into full shutdown at some stage during the night. Not liking this image one bit, too many bugs and some horrible features (spinner and bootlogo).

HDMU has the odd bug, but is much better than this.

not your fault mate and thanks again for the judder fix. I can live with this image as the judder fix trumps anything else for the interim period until maybe championc delivers us the ultimate and best image ever:p

Anyone running my Hyperion image out there online now ? If so, can you check BluePanel > Actualisations and see if there is a Software Upgrade available.

It's just that an SVN-2298 has been released for other Hyperion v2 images for other boxes so there is a possibility that it's been upgraded without the fanfare.

Guys, why you don't you download the yellowking image and try it out yourselves?

I downloaded it and am using it and am not getting any of the issues you describe.

The only thing I have noticed is the yellowking image is a lot more picky about the type of hard drive it uses. So much so that I stopped using an external drive and setup a network share for the EPG and the recordings and since I did that, no issues at all.

Any chance you could tell me how to do this?

I have a Buffalo NAS and would like to use that instead of a usb hdd

Well I did change my post almost straight away before your post but if I am being honest
,the current HDMU image I am running is very stable and really only has 2 flaws ,the HD judder and the terrestrial no signal error when recording a satellite channel.
All of the other flaws I mentioned in previous posts have been resolved .

I tried Open Pli Hybrid but didnt like the look or the performance .

I also like Hyperion ,best looking gui by a long way .

The odd thing about the Alien 2 images are that some people rate some images highly whilst others rate other images.
I mean people were singing the praises of the Yoda images months ago but they were complete rubbish.

Hopefully the image development teams might try to improve the HD picture quality on the boxes as it could be alot better.
I read on another forum that the enigma 2 drivers being used were old and not optimised.

The difference between HD and SD channels should be alot more noticeable .
HD channels dont look sharp enough ,even in Spark .
I've tried tweaking the picture settings but the HD image on my Dm800 blows the Triplex out of the water which is odd as I had read the STi chipset had better graphics.

I guess many compared Yoda to Spark or maybe the Out of the Box HDMU.

I'll just mention that there should in theory be no difference between any images' GUI's in that you can apply the same Skins to all images. I use KerniHD_RC2 and nothing else anymore. The only other thing GUI wise would obviously be the Bluepanel in Hyperion which of course is unique.

My own personal reason for giving up on HDMU a long time ago was the fact that it would just freeze now and again, for no apparent reason whatsoever. It could have been as long ago as Feb or March and I've never tried again since, essentially since AR-P was suddenly soooo stable and passed the family test with flying colours where, up to that point, the only thing flying was potentially the box out the top window. I was ridiculed for buying "that heap of ****". Following the arrival of AR-P, at this stage, I reckon I'm possibly in Credit with Brownie points !!
