    From RTE

She was seen with her dog on Clanbrassil Street at around 12pm.

She was seen again in Glasnevin at about 3pm,

There was a further possible sighting of her near the M50 Finglas junction at around 5.30pm.

So she's been seen? And has nobody contacted her relatives to say she's rambling from Town to Glasnevin to Finglas???

Is this the only thread on boards? I'm surprised that there isn't more interest in the case. Horrible to think that she may have spent the night outside. It wasn't overly cold, but it was wet and she is old. Hopefully her dog will help mind her.

Any boardsies living /travelling near the back of the airport?
Maybe some of the plane spotters could be mobilised to search today? They're close by, have spare time and some have binoculars.

It might be worth posting a pic of the breed of dog, a black and white King Charles cavalier. I think the dog is the key to finding her, hopefully safe and well.

How can you tell the difference between rambling and walking and how do you know the people knew the relatives.

I hope they find her. It must be a terrible worry for the relatives.

Hi Rise To Me, any help is highly appreciated. See update below for yourself and anyone that can help with the search:

Thanks to everyone that has turned out this morning to join the search for Peggy. There have again been a number of reported sightings throughout the night mainly in the Finglas Area. Please keep sharing and looking for Peggy. Just to recap - Left Mount Tallant at 11am on Tuesday. Was seen at 12 in Clanbrassil Street and then at 3pm in Clarevillr Grove across from Glasnevin Cemetary. There was then a sighting across from the Topaz between Glasnevin and Finglas at 18:52. She has a Calvalier King CHarles Dog with her. Please be vigilant and say hello to Peggy if you see her and phone us immediately either on 016666400 or 080831030755 or 0857421495 or 0863791592. Again, she is wearing black bottoms and a white fleece top with a hood on it. The dogs name is Casper.

We are searching continuously and have not stopped since she went missing. At the moment, the base for all the teams that are out and about is in DID Electrical shop in Finglas, so doesn't matter if it is early, midday or this evening. Thanks.

Just as an aside ........... could a King Charles walk that far without it's paws getting sore? It would seem strange that she could walk all the way to Finglas without a bus driver or Garda noticing her (as these are more aware of missing persons due to posters in their work places).
Whatever, I hope she is found safe, well and not too distressed. Same for the poor pooch.

We've be out hanging up and handing out flyers for most of today and the most frequent thing said is to get a photo of Casper out asap in case he got away from her.
Just thought I'd put the idea out there.
I sincerely hope and pray they are both home by tonight.
We will continue looking and getting the flyers up and out there.

Use your common sense. Whoever saw her in these places wouldn't have known she was going to walk all the way from town to Finglas or that she was a lady with Alzheimers who was missing. They saw a lady walking a dog. Amazing how people bleat about what people should have done after the fact, as if people have superpowers.

I've shared the info with all my friends in Dublin. Hope she is found safe and well soon.

Have been thinking of this lady since I heard her granddaughter on Ryan Tubridy yesterday. Really hope she's well and returns home soon.

Why would people report seeing her if they didn't know she was missing?

I don't just see a woman walking to the shops and call RTE telling them I've seen her, whoever she may be.

Unless the sightings were CCTV and not eyewitnesses.

I see someone who's missing....first thing I do is call the Gardai, tell them the situation and then keep an eye on the missing person until the police quietly arrive.

Her son was on Radio 1 this afternoon. He said if someone sees her, the best thing to do is approach her and try to talk to her and maybe get her something to eat or drink to keep her mind occupied, then obviously alert the authorities.
He said she is a very friendly outgoing person and would be inclined to talk to strangers in normal life but due to the nature of her condition she may be disorientated.
I cant stop thinking about the case since i heard about it, I really hope she is found safe. My own mother has the same condition and i couldnt bear to think of her out there alone and frightened.

it would be a case of her picture being published and people then calling saying I saw her.

I heard Peggy's grand daughter on Tubridy this morning and she said that they really need people to ring as soon as they see her. Apparently it's only when people saw the news and the appeals that they realised the person they saw earlier during the day was Peggy. Judging by the CCTV footage on RTE last night, Peggy does not look like an older woman. She appears very slight in build and with her hood up she could easily be mistaken for a much younger person. If everyone just kept an eye out or asked family members who drive for a living to watch out for Peggy and her dog I am sure she will be found and returned home to her family. Hopefully that will be very soon.

Kids are more inclined to notice a dog before they would notice a person so getting Caspers picture out would help.
Kids could be playing in fields and parks.
    Worth a shot

Her granddaughter said she's only 5'2'' and of a slight build. She spoke to some cameramen (who were filming 'Fair City') and at the time, they didn't feel she was distressed or upset. Also, she had no phone/id with her.
    Praying for her safe return

Someone who had shared this on FB received a comment from another person whose relative had Alzheimers. Seemingly affected people who go walkabout are often trying to return to a previous residence or neighbourhood. Was Peggy brought up near Finglas or did she live there for a while? That might help zero in on where she's likely to be.

I did hear that people with Alzheimers often have very healthy long term memory - and they often try to return 'home' ie where they grew up.
