As I was at my gate this morning waiting to join the traffic, a white Focus RS passed by. Never saw it here before so I'm hoping it's a new addition to the town :D

    You're such a liar!

Mounting reg plates should be left to a professional

Yeah I don't get it either, that looks like it got about 8 cans of matte black.
How much would a job like that cost anyway?

    Talk about destroying a 545i.

Gonna sort out some sort of signage for that spot, warning people that pictures in that location have been done to death. :p

The price of fuel is a joke, 1.45 for diesel, I paid 1.39 about 2 weeks ago for it, what the hell is happening :(

P.S less slagging diesel it's the best fuel EVER :P :D

It's high at the moment. At one stage at topaz kilkenny about 2 weeks ago it was 1.55:eek: still your probably doing alright to get it for 1.45 if your buying in Kilkenny. I've started just filling up in clonmel on the way home from college on a Friday it always a bit cheaper.

I bought my first diesel recently to tip in and out to work in. It's a 3L Jeep but fook me the bang off it when you get out of it. Petrol cars smell great, especially the gusslers but diesels smell cack.

No I either buy it in Waterford or Clonmel as it's too expensive in Kilkenny. I got it today in Amber in Clonmel for that price

    Looking to buy a van.

99% of vans out there with tow bars have never used them it seems.:pac:

also the amount of vans that have never had any heavy work done in them and were only used as a car is also very high.:)

It always seems to be very expensive in Kilkenny. I don't buy that much diesel anyway generally 30/35 euro a week gets me kilkenny to cork (300km) return then driving around at the weekend and then a trip to new Ross most weekends too so not too bad.

I'd dread to think how much it would cost in a decent performance petrol car. Still once I qualify and get a job in a few years ill definitely get a nice petrol weekend car Megane 225 or Clio 197 something like that. I will have a good few years driving under my belt at that stage too for insurance. The focus will have to do for now :) although its driving well lately no issues at all in the last 2 months or so so I can't complain :)

Hey bp, what engine is in your focus?

1.6tdci 90bhp. Putting it lightly it hasn't been the most reliable thing ever. But since I have done all the work to it it's been reliable enough and is good on diesel too. I have to keep it for 3 years either way and once I get 3 years out of it I consider it to have paid for itself. My brother will probably get it then to learn to drive in. It will be well and truly wrecked when he's finished with it:pac:

I drove one of them before man, thought it had a lovely dirve to it. Engine pulls nicely for what it is. Far better than my old 1.4 :)
Great machine and they behave good enough I think.

Ha ha tell me about it. What kind of a van are you looking for ? People think its hard to find a decent car it's way worse to find a clean van. People seem to dog the sh!t out of them just because there vans. I've looked at some amount of crap vans. But if you look at enough of them you will eventually find a decent one :)

My car is being picked up after my annoying experience on Monday when I had warranty work carried out. I'll post fully when it's all done about what exactly happened and what exactly has been done.

In fairness the engine does suit the car. It's powerful enough for a 1.6. Just driving it around the engine never really seems that under pressure compared to some things.

My previous astra 1.3 was certainly under more pressure specially on hills there was one particular hill I drive up in new Ross a good bit and its steep and you starting from a stop on the end but no joke the Astra would only ever go up it in first no matter how hard you would try. Focus pulls like mad the whole way up it I'd be up to third gear half way up its great :)

Torque is fun :) I've learned that with my latest machine :)
They are a well put together car them focuses (focaii??).
I do honestly remember driving the 1.6d and saying how nice it was with it :)
Your next logical step is an st now ;)

Caddy is first choice or then a berlingo/partner.
The new Caddy shape is from 2011 on tho and they are dear.

The amount of Ex UK van on the market is unreal.

It seems almost every Van I've rang is Ex UK and Im not keen at all on one of them.
    Most are Ex Hire companys.

Caddy are a great van and if I was buying a van like that it would be a caddy. They are definitely expensive second hand and yet if you buy a new one and are vat registered there a very good deal at the moment specially for the 1.6tdi. Is that the engine your after ?

They are a good van as anyone I know who them find them reliable and in work they have a few 05s all sdi but they get serious abuse only serviced every 30k miles  and are still somehow going strong all with over 200k miles on them it's unreal.
