In other news does anyone know if a brake caliper and other brake components from a 1997-2000 Hyundai Coupe would fit a 1999 Lantra saloon.

My head is formulating a plan and needs to know.

Look up the parts online and see if the codes for them are the same. ;)

I'm right in thinking this answers the question and gives me a list of cars that have them fitted.

    http://www.langemachinery.com/Auto%20Articleshow.asp?ArticleID=19417&xx=QZDX

And the answer appears too be yes they both use the same calipers

    Hi all
What do people think of the following asking prices both from dealers and I know very diff cars but anyway:
    Honda Accord type s 2009 12,900
Focus ST 2006 8,950 has leather recaro interior seems high spec.
Both around 50k miles. I think the asking prices are fairly high?
    Thanks
    Gav

For the love of god don't pay nine grand for a 2006 (pre darkened headlamps) pre facelift ST.

If you need help looking for one online or have any questions ask myself or any of the other owners on here.

You will get a nicely specced 08 Facelift ST for just over 8 grand i reckon.

Cheers I was thinking it's very expensive alright. What would be a average 06 price? I'm after getting new job back in Cork so mileage will be lot less now was toying with idea of st wanted one with ages but commute put me off.

If you have a look around you will get a 2006 for about 6 grand

This 07 looks ok if milage abit high http://cars.donedeal.ie/cars-for-sale/ford-focus-st-2-5-3dr/5689416

This is the one on DD that stands out for me atm though http://cars.donedeal.ie/cars-for-sale/ford-focus-st-2-5-taxed-full-leather/5658812

Cheers might look around prefer to have one un modified and in south if possible so can bring own mechanic. Insurance probably be high enough but I'm 28 and 6 years ncb full license for 11 so might not be too bad. Think servicing isn't too bad on them either and parts aren't mad. Tax insurance and petrol be main expenses!!

90% of the parts are from a normal ford focus 2 which is one of the most common cars on the road.

Performance parts are a mix of volvo and ford and are fairly easily available especially from the UK. I didn't mind travelling twice to rush to get my car and dont sniff at aftermarket parts as im spending 950 quid in the coming days on a new aftermarket exhaust system and a good map is upwards of 400e so factor all that in :p

As I was at my gate this morning waiting to join the traffic, a white Focus RS passed by. Never saw it here before so I'm hoping it's a new addition to the town :D
