Ward Prowse, Chambers, Nani and Lampard arent starters. Walcott and RVP doubts. Any word on these injurys?

I have 2 free transfers and 1.7 in the banks. What do you do?

    Have you used your wildcard?

    Unfortunately, Yes.

Well, on the up side, Rvp and Walcott probably will both be ok for next week!

Think you need to get rid of Campbell, Nani and Kos. Ya never know Nani might end up starting next weekend, who know's, but it's a gamble probably not worth taking.

If it was me i'd be thinking Campbell to Lukaku, and swap Nani out as well... Could bring in maybe one of... Ramsey (feck, just realised you have 3 Arsenal players), Brady, Ben Arfa, Eriksen

The problem I have with getting rid of Campbell and Kos is that they are both pretty much guaranteed starters and I dont think I can afford to use my transfers on players that are starting. I was thinking of taking a points hit and getting rid of Nani, Lamps and Ward Prowse and maybe going with Eriksen, Moses and AN other.

The plan was to get rid of Campbell for Lukaku but I dont think I can afford to do that transfer now especially since Lukaku didnt start this weekend and isnt guaranteed to start next week.

Edit: actually dont think theres a need to take a points hit. Lamps nani to Eriksen and moses is what Im thinking.

Eriksen is a good bet, not so sure about Moses.

I brought Lukaku in for this week and was amazed he didn't start. He changed the game when he came on and scored the winner, while jelavic hasn't been able to hit a barn door for ages in the league. Nailed on next week I reckon.

Seeing how Chelsea are starting off this season, shipped out Cole for Fonte and the extra € used to get in Ozil for Walcott

Trouble picking the (C) this week. Stuck it on Giroud for the time being, but against Swansea, im unsure... Agger maybe, but not sure if he'll play

Captain Agger away to Sunderland? You have Van Persie at home to WBA, that's why you're paying that kind of money for him.

AFAIK it was precautionary.. RVP opted himself out I believe, rather than anything else..

If you have RVP you captain him.

    Koscielney / Vidic / Coleman / Nastasic / Dawson

I need help deciding what 4 to play

Vidic is a must. At home to West Brom.
I think Coleman is second choice behind him at home to Newcastle.

Which leaves me to pick two from Kosc / Dawson / Nastasic
    -Dawson at home to Chelsea.
    -Nastasic away to Aston Villa.
    -Kosc away to Swansea.

Or I could play all 5 and put Bentekkers on the bench. No guarantee of him starting, and if he does, he might be hard pushed to get one past Kompany and co.

If it was me I would play Nastasic and Kos. Dawson may be at home but he's at home to arguably the best team in the League.

That's kind of what I'm leaning towards. It's just the fact that he's at home is making me consider him. Tottenham are fairly solid at the back, and Chelsea haven't exactly been scoring all around them.

Dawsons kept 4 clean sheets out of 5 though?

Looking for advice here, foolishly used my 1 free transfer already by swapping Lampard for Lamela, Lampard just isn't starting enough games for me and returned only one point in GW 5. Is there anything else I can do before GW 6 starts to improve my team, i.e. taking the points hit for on particular player? What about my subs, considering putting Ferdinand on instead of Eto'o?

I wouldn't bother with points hit's with that team, you've plenty of options though, I'd certainly be playing Fonte and Enrique, tough to know who to bench though, if it was me I'd seriously consider a 5-3-2 and leave your two cheap mids out even though they don't have awful fixtures.

Great team. No need for any more hits.

No need for any points hits there.

Jose Enrique should be playing though. As should Fonte really.

Not against Chelsea though. The one team of a similar quality to Chelsea, Arsenal, scored against them.

I'm thinking of dropping Benteke to the bench in favour of Dawson.. So I'll be playing 5 at the back..

IF Benteke even plays, City are no pushovers at the back. He'll be lucky to get one passed them. Lets say he does it's worth 4+2+BP

Dawson will get a minimum 6 points for a cleanie. Tottenham are quite strong at the back it has to be said and Lloris is a fantastic keeper. Plus they're at home. Chelsea haven't exactly been scoring all around them this season. I can actually see it being 0-0.

This is what i'll be working with for the weekend!

    uvn.JPG

Have to say seeing Walcott red flagged has put a bit of a spanner in the works! Was hoping he would just miss this week but he's down with an unknown return date on the FPL site now, id love to bring Ozil in but it would mean a 12 point hit and i cant justify that even though it more then likely means he will be well out of my budget if i don't make the move this week as id assume Walcott's price will freefall now!

Really hoping my midfield can do something for me this week and i'm also a bit worried about Whittaker considering he didn't play last weekend!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,256 ✭✭✭✭Lemlin

    My team for the weekend:

    Mignolet
    Coleman - Shaw - Zab
Brady - Nolan - Ben Arfa - Ozil
    RVP (c) Sturridge Giroud

    Subs: Harper, Barkley, Collins Whittaker

If RVP isn't fit, I might take a punt on Kun Aguero rather than Rooney. I'm surprised he only had 6,981 transfers in. I know he didn't play vs Stoke but he would have just come back from a trip with Argentina I'm thinking.

I think he has to be first choice striker for City.

Oh he did, he got 28 minutes, I wish he hadn't of played.
I'm surprised by the lack of transfers in for him, I think he'll start most games with Dzecko or Negredo rotating a bit more.

    Team at present:

    Mignolet - (Daniels)
    Coleman - Enrique - Zab - Vidic - (Collins)
    Eriksen - Moses - Ozil - Brady - (Nolan)
    Aguero - Rooney - (Chamakh)

Still not sure about playing/taking a chance on Nolan over Enrique (as I have Mig and not sure about an away clean sheet)

I think I'm happy enough with that team for the next few GW's
When Walcott is back I'll consider a few options for change.

Nothing in the bank at present:
Downgrade to cheaper Tot defender to free up 1m.
Nolan out for Walcott at 2.4m cost
Ageuro out for Negredo or Lukaka (depending how they look over the next while) to make up the difference

could go with strikers like Giroud, Sturridge over Aguero and Rooney as theyre guaranteed to play every week without the threat of roatation like the others. Would allow ya to have Lukaku instead of Chamakh then and improve your midfield a bit

Thanks, I have kind of made up my mind about Giroud and he isn't really an opinion because Ozil is there and I think Walcott, once he gets going will really benefit from having Ozil around so that kind of rules him out. I fancy Walcott to get as many goals as Giroud.
Just my feelings on it, but they rule Giroud out as having the 3 of them would be too much of a gamble, even for me.

I'm not 100% sure about Sturridge either, I'd like to see how the Suarez return pans out a bit first. Again, it's just a gut feeling that he won't continue his good start. I would consider one of my big two for Suarez.

Rightly or wrongly, I avoid players that I don't trust and Sturridge & Giroud fall into that.
I'm also only going to play 2 up front so I am happy leave a cheap alternative.

Thanks for the reply, I shouldn't have posted at all as I am fairly happy with my plan :o

    HI Guys,

What do you think is the ideal Midfield to have?

Currently have: Brady, Ozil, Ramsey, Mirallas & Bern Arfa

    Im thinking of changing to:

Brady, Ozil, Ramsey, Michu & Arnautovic

Thoughts on this team? I'm tempted to double up on United defenders for the next month, they have some cracking fixtures:

    West Brom (H)
    Sunderland (A)
    Southampton (H)
    Stoke (H)

    200uy5l.jpg

I would be bringing in Ferdinand at the expense of Coleman though, and unsure if this makes my team too top heavy with the big clubs. I'll have 3 United, 3 Arsenal, 2 Liverpool, 1 City and 1 Chelsea. All of who would likely start most weeks. None of the top 4 or Liverpool play each other until GW9 though. My bench would usually be Morrison, Fonte and either Brady or Ramsey. Which again makes me question whether it's worth spending £4.7m on Fonte when I could as easily buy someone like Whittaker for £4.2m and bump my sub keeper up to McGregor who rotates perfectly with Mig.

I think Ferdinand might be overkill and unsure he's worth £5.5, but Uniteds next 4 games are VERY tempting in terms of clean sheet potential. All goes out the window if I get Suarez in.
