So far so good for me with the protank 2, draw is not as airy as the original protank and it's much easier clean. Also hated the drip tip on the original protank so it's great to be able to change it. The resistance on one of the coils was way off, 2.1 meant to be 1.8 ohms. Haven't tried the higher resistance one yet.

The draw and drip tip on the V1 were terrible. Out of interest, I threw an evod head into mine and it made a massive difference to the draw. Huge difference.

Actually, I bought 2 'evod' heads from one of our vendors a while back to see if they were better than the protank ones. I knew the evod heads are different than the protank. The stem is shorter and the metal plug at the base is wider. They sent me two protank heads though.......wasn't impressed with the vendor at all.....bought 1 evod head from another vendor and it was an evod head as ordered. I wasnt impressed with the first vendors carry on......don't try fooling me........

Kanger no longer produce the short stemmed coils, confused me as well until I contacted them about it

I can second that Kanger have changed the Evod/protank heads around to all use the same ones, with the long stem.

The short stem in the evods was creating a lack of pressure in the tank and causing them to leak.

Fair enough. I didn't know that. Looks like they've sorted out a few issues with the v2 anyway.

Might be handy for driving or something.

Confused me as well. I keep my T3s and evod coils in the same tin, I can't tell them apart now, presuming of course that there is a difference.

That's exactly what I'm using it for. Have it on an itaste which charges from my micro usb phone charger, dead handy and not a bad vape at all, very consistent and much less prone to leaking than the original pro tank or evods.

Hey all, I'm thinking of purchasing the Sigelei ZMAX Telescope V3 mod. My first mod and plan to use the Igo-l dripper with it. Anyone got this or a similiar setup how did you find it? thanks.

I thought my batteries were packing it in as I was getting no hit from my 510 batteries, so I ordered an ego-c twist kit which arrived today.

But I think I actually got a poor batch of XXL carts, because it's now giving a great vape - I think TBS have changed from the brand they used to sell.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,719 ✭✭✭Hal1

I recieved my Igo-L dripper time to make some coils \o/. It's 510 so I'll see what it's like on my innokin vv.

Just to update :D. I just made my first coil and I'm getting 2.6ohms. I used this guide: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g5y3vUOqp9Q don't want to embed it as going off topic a bit here :).

Ordered a lot of juices lately the nicest being the Coffee Cream from Mom & Pops Vapor

Ordered Calipiter Chow and Butterfly Baits waiting for them now

platinums, can you please let me know where you bought your Mom & Pops 'Coffee Cream'?

I bought some off an Irish site the other day and I thinks it's absolutely awful.

I usually only vape coffee/chocolate/caramel type flavours and have tried several brands but never found on that I hated so much that I couldn't use it. But this one has a horrible chemical taste and I can't taste coffee at all.

Maybe I just got a bad bottle.

I'm letting it steep for a week before I try it again but, to be honest, I'm not holding out too much hope for it to improve.

I get it from theBestshop.eu, next day delivery is awesome for 3.50.
I would like to know where you got yours (pm if you like) as it may have been an unlucky bad bottle. I was buying it from another Irish retailer but had iffy results too so change to TBS.

These shops do buy in the concentrate and mix it themselves to a degree. So there may also be a variance in the base liquids they use etc. Shoppies correct me if in wrong.

I got mine from the same place as yours platinums. I got a bottle of Coffee Cream and a bottle of Pchelas Poison.
The Pchelas Poison is a lovely smooth coffee/chocolatey/caramelly vape with clouds of vapour and it tastes divine.
The Coffee Cream, on the other hand, has a really rough chemical taste that turns my stomach. I'm going to take wingnut32's advice and steep it for a long time until I'm brave enough to try it again.

I bought some Mom & Pops Cappasnack from another Irish site and it is a very smooth vape which tastes and smells like it's meant to. :D

I have left these bottles for at least 1-2 weeks. I notice at first they are a bit peppery on the tongue, after at least a week they mellow and are creamy and sweet. you could always get juice from Paul Kinahane, he steeps before he lets them go.

Something I think more shops should be able to do. www.paulsartisanliquids.wordpress.com

    to steep:
    1. open the bottle lid squeeze it to just empty the stale air and draw in some fresh air
    2. shake the crap out out the bottle!
    3. leave it in a dark place (safe from pets and kids)

    ideally repeat steps 1 & 2 daily
Sunlight kills nicotine at a rate of about 1mg per fortnight - I saw a test on this a while ago.

My dripper and thread cover came in from fasttech this morning. Ordered on the 6th and singpost shipped it on the 11th. I have it on a mini eGo and it's tiny, 10cm total length. Good vapour off it and the flavour is pretty good even though the supplied wick is fairly pathetic.

The pic came out bigger than real life but you get the idea.

    Havent bought anything in ages.

Was in a Vapeshop earlier and on a whim (for around 7 euro) bought a "Bullet" Clone (Phoenix v5 without the brass?) ... nice looking atty, really nice build on it, completely stainless, no mystery metal. Its Pretty slim (2mm bigger than the ERA mini) but still has lots of space inside and a pretty nice deep well..

BUT: Completely useless due to the silly air hole position :( I didn't even re-wick it, not worth the effort, but might make a nice project atty. Feck it, its not like I'm spending a tenner a day on fags anymore.

I'll need to either Drill out an Airhole in the side sacrificing the Adjustable flow or cut down the top cap by around 9mm so the airholes are just above the wicks and can then be adjusted. On reading a bit about the "original" bullet it has similar issues.

[edit] might try some of the advice here first as I have the right size screws from a spare era...

Anyhow .. some pics, Mini ERA beside it for size comparison.

Ok, it was time to move on so I went with the Kanger starter kit from E-Smokeireland and a selection of juices from mom and pops and wing nuts range, great deal I must say, also ordered a mini pro tank and an evod tank plus some spare coils for the above so hopefully happy vaping for a while to come.....:)

Would like some advice on direct dripping and what I may need to do this with what I have.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,026 ✭✭✭grindle

You can either buy a dripping atty that you have to clean and take care of that will die eventually then you buy a new one like this, or you can buy a rebuildable that you can...rebuild...like this.

All the vendors have a huge array of the latter kind to suit most needs, that's just a cheap one for testing the water.
I can definitely recommend the iGO-L but it looks a little bell-endy on an eGo battery. The a7 is good too but the bottom connection seems to get loose with time and the build itself is very very slightly more fiddly than an iGO. But it looks grrrrrrrrreat on an eGo.

...I've been recommending RDA's and you probably just want the simple, easy first option.
Just get the first option. Don't be like us, it's a terrible life.
My father can't even look me in the eyes any more.

"Simple easy option", naw, never fit in with my lifestyle Grindle, I like the obtuse, fan dangled never look your dead father in the eyes option.....ha ha haaa....I like fiddling with things so RDA's are probably the way to go......I mean, who wants a simple life when they can have.......now what was I going to say!!!

You were going to ask what you needed for your new RDA!

Wire! Available at most of our usual spots now, 0.20mm Kanthal is probably the "medium" wire if such a thing exists.

Cotton! Available in Dunnes! Or Tesco! Or Boots! Just don't dry-burn it!

Or silica! Fairly crap but extremely popular because it's the default in all atties! Can be dry-burned!

    Welcome to the fraternity!

Will you be my new dada?

0.2 Kanthal and cotton.....yes been seeing good things about cotton...."summertime when the livin' is easy......"

Be your Dada....but but but.....I'm already a sugar daddy to my sugar plum......:)

Just ordered Magoo rebuildable and some random wick and wire.

    Like I need another atomiser!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,366 ✭✭✭dePeatrick

Got my order this morning, delighted with it, love the mini Protank and the Evod, not sure about the iClear 16 as yet, fixed some gurgling noises by turning over the silicon seal as recommended elsewhere on this forum, works a treat.

I should have washed all of the tanks before using as there is a breaking in period on them but was way too impatient to wait for them to dry, the taste is improving as I use them, first couple of vapes smelled and tasted like a factory floor..... but that has cleared now and am having a much more pleasant vape, think the juices could do with a steep too but are also improving already after much shaking....all in all very pleased and will invest in a direct dripper next month and have a go at building coils and cotton wicks. :D (it is called Grindlitis....! )

Edit: Very impressed with Paul & Sabrina at E-Smokeireland, rapid response to emails and orders, very good customer service :)

Be warned, a lot of NR wire needed, bit fiddly/time-sucky...BUT...doesn't leak.
    At. All.
Which is nice as tank devices go. Works with the Kayfun conversion kit that China will hopefully clone.
Go China! Make my life affordable!

The fogger v2 looks promising, Todd seemed fairly impressed. The v1 was a bit of a disaster but they seem to have sorted out the issues with the v2.
Im looking for one myself but I dont know who's selling it.
