Seems to be plenty of activity on the airwaves tonight.

Anyone else noticing anything? Getting Saorview from Maghera at the moment.

Tropo maps look good alright. Just checked the car and only bare enchancement on 87.8, 88.1 and Kippure in noisy stereo on 89.1

    Light rain at the moment,.

BBC national stations from North Hessary in Devon were powering into North Co.Cork all day. This transmitter must be very powerful, as it is based in South Ðevon and well away from the North Devon coastline which would be facing Ireland.

    - on Monday night I was getting national FM signals from Rowridge (Isle Of Wight)

    http://www.ukfree.tv/radiomaps.php?tx=SZ447865

, such as Classic FM on 100.3 - car radio just a few miles outside Cork city (helped by being in an area where the 'Dungarvan' RTE/Today TXs are weakened by terrain) .

Did very occasionally get it listenable in the past (its BBC R1 on 98.2 when that bit of the band was clear locally) .
Also Monday night signals from Wenvoe - such as Nation on 106.8 audible too, heard a French station weakly on 87.6, not good enough for RDS. Also classical music on 106.3, which I didnt listen long enough but believe it to have been from France,

same night briefly monitoring the Mullaghanish amateur 2-meter repeater 145.7500MHz I heard 2 operators in/near Cardiff going through it (they got a reply from Cork city) - they were in fact using another repeater at Pontypridd in Wales with the same channel allocation but ended up going through two repeaters at once.
