Creating ope for window through mass concrete wall

Part of our house is a mass concrete wall which is 2 ft thick. We had initially thought the wall was cut stone and that putting a window in the wall would create issues with the stone work and cost a lot of money. We then found out it was mass concrete. is it still as expensive to cut through the concrete? Has anyone ever cut through mass concrete for this reason? Would there support lintels involved, or is there enough support in the concrete already?

Any advice appreciated.

Depends on whats above it, apart from that its not a big job just a little time with a kango and consaw really not a big or expensive job PM me if you need more info

Ha ha ha, seems they were preparing for it alright!

The other part of the house is cut stone with thick walls so maybe they were keeping it uniform, not sure.

It's a 2 storey. Bathroom above the area

My grandfathers house is the same. He was a carpenter, so he shuttered the whole house. There isn't one block in it. They were built to last when they built them back then.
