    Hi

I am having a dish and aerial installed - I previously had UPC and have UPC points in sitting room and main bedroom... I was just wondering is it possible for the dish and aerial to be wired to the UPC box outside (beside my Gas, Electricity boxes) and the Combi boxes I have bought then linked to the UPC points or do I have to link the boxes direct to the Dish and Aerial?

    Thanks

It can be done but installers tend to stay away from other companies equipment.Best to get your installer to have a look at the job and advise you.

Where UPC uses one cable, satellite normally uses individual cables fed from the dish to each box.

Thanks alot Zerks... in the end, he was able to use the UPC box outside for the aerial, it was split into sitting room and bedroom so this saved us a whole bunch of cable and meant we only have one cable and not two running round my fireplace.

    All's working perfic! :)
