Hi guys, newbie here! I am just wondering if anyone can shed some light on which of the two above mentioned bikes would be the best? I am finding it difficult to find many reviews for the lapierre cross 300 and do really like the look of the Giant roam 2 but experience and advise in relation to comparing them would be mich appreciated!

Not sure if this is too late. I had a Giant Roam XR2 for a few years (2010 model). It was a great bike. Very solid, and the hydraulic brakes were superb. First time I used the brakes in the rain, I nearly went over the handlebars. The weight was a bit high, about 12.5 kg, due to the brakes and heavy wheels. But I'd buy a Giant again.
I can't comment on the Lapierre. The reviews I've read would seem to rate Giant better than Lapierre.
