Guessing you'll see this in here...

    Mignolet (Boruc)

    Walker Koscielny Coleman Enrique (Vidic)

Moses Michu Walcott (Wittingham & Brady)

    Lukaku Giroud Soldado

(still contemplating Sturridge or Benteke in Soldado's place there. And/Or Koscielny to Wilson and Wit/Brad upgraded slightly - Sessegnon?)

    Koscielny is an abslute liability

Hi everyone. My wildcard is active this week. Here is my current line up. Please advise.
    Mignolet/boruc
    zabaleta/coleman/wilson/collins/evra
    eriksen/moses/ben arfa/ramsey/barkley
    giroud/sturridge/benteke

Or maybe just have a mid from a different team as both Cowie and Whitts play for Cardiff

Thats a good point actually. I'll take another look at that.

need to pick 2 to start from these:
    Vidic (city)
    Zabaletta (United)
    Brady + Chester (Newc)
    redmond (villa)

Think derby will either be cagey affair, or early goal leading to lot of goals.....cant decide.....maybe Brady/ Vidic?

Plans to bring in Erikson for Lamps next week and Suarez in for Giroud the following week if he is looking like the player he was last season again!

Looking at your team i wonder what is more likely - Norwich keeping CS, or Benteke scoring? Asking because have Whittaker and not sure if it is worth to put him in. The other option is Noble who plays Everton(H), but he is worth no more than 2 points anyway. Not having Benteke makes it easier to put Whittaker in my team, but looking at your bench it looks like you had no choice. The question is: will Norwich keep the clean sheet?

Redmond would be my first choice from all those and maybe Vidic then or Zab as the home defender. I've got Redmond, Vidic and Brady myself so I've got something at stake behind my opinion. Brady is also a doubt which makes it easier not to pick him as well as being away to a decent defense bar the City games.

I have 4 of those 5, and kinda the same predicament, at the moment i'm leaning towards Zabaletta and Vidic, but Redmond could be a good alternative to one of them

Ok, i know us wildcarders are probably giving yous all RateMyTeam Fatigue but bear with me!

    Which?!

    A
    Mignolet , Wilson
    Ferdinand, Collins ,Chester, Dawson, Coleman
    Walcott, Michu, Erikson, Moses, Morrison
    Lukaku,
    RVP, Giroud

    B
    Mignolet , Wilson
    Ferdinand, Collins ,Clyne, Dawson, Coleman
Walcott, Michu, Erikson, Ward Prowse, Morrison
    Sturridge
    , RVP, Giroud.

Main difference in A and B is will Moses and Lukaku and the option of 343 or 433 be worth more points than Sturridge and weak reserve midfield, leaving 433 the only option most of the time.

Other question in Rooney or RVP? The extra 2.5mil only rally allows a slightly stronger midfield or 1 big defender.

Finally, Sturridge or Benteke? If I was going Benteke I'd want Moses in there given Liverpool's fixtures. So would you prefer Michu and Ward P OR Ben Arfa and Moses.

Thoughts? Debating a wildcard team after this weekends fixtures. Current team is here - value £102.3m

    sltv2o.jpg

    Defence
    Toure + Ward (injured) OUT
    Vidic + Chester IN
I want United defensive coverage and Vidic seems to be key. Ferdinand is a good way in at £0.5m cheaper, but Vidic will outscore him on Bonus Points and has the ability to bang in a couple of goals. After City, United's next 5 fixtures are great in terms of clean sheet potential. I'll be holding on to Terry, looks like he'll be a decent differential. Zab stays, and for the moment Coleman stays. As for Chester, I think he's probably the best £4m defender?

    Midfield
    Nolan + Brady OUT
    Ramsey + Eriksen/Lampard IN
I had planned on bringing Ramsey in last week instead of Brady but bottled it as I thought he was too much of a rotation risk. Turns out Brady is the one that isn't getting the full 90! And the fact that he's a doubt for this weekend means he needs to go. I'm still not convinced on Ramsey but at the very least he should rise by another £0.2m/£0.3m next week. Nolan hasn't done the business so far and even if he scores this weekend I still think I need to get rid, he's only had 6 shots in 4 games. His replacement will be either Eriksen, or if I can manage to make £0.1m with some wheelin and dealin it'll be Lampard - an absolute steal at £8.2m, even if he's a rotation risk. As for the rest of the MF, it stays as is. Ozil should get a load of assists but I still fancy Walcott to outscore him. Morrison is finally getting gametime, and if he starts scoring his price will rise. Ben Arfa was my free transfer this week - not convinced with him as he doesn't seem to get the support he needs at Newcastle, but clearly able to score big. He's risen £0.3 this week and like Ramsey should rise again next week even if he doesn't score. There are no obvious midfield choices this week, so plenty of bandwagons to hop on.

    Attack
    Soldado OUT
    Rooney IN
Rooney is £3.5m cheaper than RVP, and looks like he'll be greedy this season with a point to prove to Moyes. This is great for FF, we love greedy f**kers. The other two will stay, although I'm debating upgrading Sturridge for Suarez. Unsure yet whether he's worth the extra cash though, but not that easy to take a 'wait and see' approach as he'll be hard to fit in post wildcard.

So only 5 changes. 6 if you include maybe upgrading my sub keeper, although no £4m keeper plays regularly. Not sure these changes warrant a wildcard, I might just take a 4 point hit and swap Soldado + Ward for Rooney and Vidic. A lot depends on this weekends games, although the frustrating this is that to get the best advantage from a wildcard you usually need to play it Saturday - Arsenal, Spurs, United and City don't play until Sunday.

    B

    100%

Right having sat up all night (not really) I could also go with Option B+with Rooney...

    Mignolet , Wilson
    Ferdinand, Collins ,Clyne, Dawson, Coleman
Walcott, Michu, Erikson, Ben Arfa, Morrison
    Sturridge, Rooney, Giroud.

    This Wild Carding is exhausting!

Think your defense is pretty weak, and considering that's where most of the bonus points are going this year it's definitely a risk.

As you said i had no choice who to play i would have put Brady in and still might despite the fact he has been flagged on the off chance he starts! I reckon Benteke has a good chance of scoring he has proved that he can score against anyone however Norwich are good defensively when they play at home so there's a chance they could keep the CS too!

Not a lot - £102.3m. Probably about average at the moment.

That's a simple one, decide which 4 midfield players you want, downgrade the other and put the change into your defence, Wisdom is probably going to be dropped.

What formation do you intend to play?

Assuming you're going 3 up front...no issue there, strong.

But I think you've overspent in Midfield, 5 pretty strong midfielders there.

I'd possibly downgrade one or two of them in order to upgrade your Keeper and 2 solid defenders.

Really?? There are definitely some people on here with £103-£104m teams. The top team atm is £105m.

    How is yours only £100m!?

My team value is 101.7 million and I've 2.2 million in the bank. I've capitalised on playing my wildcard in week 1 though and have transferred in a couple of players chasing a few pound e.g. Ben Arfa this week.

Ya I will be playing 3-4-3 or 3-5-2 most of the time.
I play Dawson, Coleman and Collins so they are pretty solid most of the time. I was never one to buy expensive "solid" defenders from the top 4. I would rather invest in midfield and forwards and the three defenders I have I feel have as much a chance of a clean sheet as a top 4 defender.
Boruc seems to be the bargain buy in solid goalkeepers and my thinking would be the same as with my defenders. Plus Boruc and Marshall rotate home and away quite well.
I may move on Wisdom and I am unsure on Lampard????
I also need to decide on Giroud or Benteke????

Thats some value! Total of nearly 104!

I suppose thats the two sides of very early wildcard as if you could WC now with a value that high you would have some great options.

I'm at total TV of 102.9 and hope to get another 0.2 or 0.3 over next week. Have wildcard in play this week but will prob keep the likes of Ben Arfa and Ramsay for a couple of weeks to gain value before using FTs to add to change team slightly over next few weeks.

Not sure if that was to me.

If so I agree would love to have a Zab/Kompany/Ivanovic in the defence but if going for the premium forward line not possible. Having Liverpool, Man U both with good fixture coming and Spurs looking very tight too is not too bad I think. West Ham and Southampton good for home rotation.

I don't think this defender dominance of BPs will continue all season though, the goals scored and goals per game average is ridiculously lower than previous years so far, TotalFPL had a good article comparing the figures. Do defences getting lots of points, but goal scoring rates across the board are bound to pick up and affect that a bit.

Plus if you have goal scoring midfielders they are still being rewarded with BPs, so I think the like of Walcott, Ben Arfa and Michu could still pick up bonus points if they score even if their defence has kept a CS.

Team value probably the best indicator, as if you were to Wildcard you' probably have a few keepers who have gained value, maybe Coleman, Mignolet etc. So even if your total bank will all players cleaned out in 100.3 you could afford a new team of probably 1m more if you were wildcarding as you could get on a few risers etc.

My team value is 102.9 and my locked in cash value is 101.2.

Quite happy with this.. My only slight concern is Vidic at the back up against City.. Really hope he maintains his clean sheet bonus or at least clocks up 3BP if he doesn't.. Happy with the rest

Everybody and their mother has Mignolet in goal.. I kind of want to change that myself in the coming weeks but I reckon it would require too much reshuffling without a wildcard :/ We'll see.. Dawson is getting dropped soon as well

Also looking at getting Rooney in some time soon unless Soldado picks up form.. Need 0.2 more for that
