To freeze my Cottage Pie

Hi all, quick question. I've just made a big cottage pie which I want to freeze only i've left it a bit late to cool down. Is it safe to leave out at room temp in containers overnight and freeze in the morning? Thanks

I'm sorry but the forum charter forbids food safety advice. Taking the advice of someone you don't know on a site like this could result in you getting food poisoning.
Best to look it up on a reputable food website, or make your own call.
