Does anyone know the speed limit on Blackhall place,D7 coming from the Quays? There was what looked like a really high up speed camera box that literally flashed every car that passed by it today at 6.30pm. If its 30kph like the Quays then i know i was over it as that section is on an incline and there's no way i was going that slow. I was around 50kph which is what's needed to get up that road

There are very few 30kph zones in the whole country and I don't think blackhall Place is one of them; neither do I think that there's a fixed speed camera there.

In either case, it's just as easy to get up a hill at 30kph as 50kph. Speed is not one of the things which decide if you make it up - that's force.

    Yeah that's fair enough ;)

    There's a 30kph on the N3 bypass heading to the M50.

Anyhoo this is my normal route home and this "box" flashed exactly like a speed cam thing and I just want to know if i was ok at 50kph or not. There was a few cars in front of me and it flashed that many times, like it was clocking us all. Very odd.

I think it's a speed camera, it happened the same with me last week but I was driving 33kph that time & few cars ahead of me when that camera flashed,

Anyone have a Google Map link?

There are Red light cameras in Dublin but to the best of my knowledge, there are no fixed speed cameras. However I'll actually go and have a look if people can give me a Gmap link.

It flashed the other day as I was passing theirs tracks on a green light. I was travelling from the quays towards manor street though.

Can't remember if there was a car on the other side of the road?

I passed it a few months back late at night, I was the only one on the road heading up from the bridge over the quays. no penalty notice yet though!! (he says as he crosses his fingers/touches wood and prays to jebus)

It is a red light camera.

As for the speed limit, that section towards stoneybatter is a 50kph zone.
