    Hi,
I have an iPhone 4s bought directly from the Apple store online , and so unlocked from day one. I'm currently using a tescomobile prepay sim , but am thinking of changing to a different prepay provider. While I am pretty certain that this should be ok, someone mentioned to me that the phone might be now locked to the tesco network, as this was the first sim I used. Can anybody confirm for definite if this might be the case.:)

    Thanks

99% sure it will be fine, seeing as you bought it unlocked direct from Apple.
The only time Apple ship locked phones is when you get a replacement through warranty.
Easiest way to find out is borrow a Sim from a different network off a friend and try it.

That only ever happens if a phone was bought sim free from CarPhoneWarehouse. When you first put in a sim, it locks it to that network.

Ok thanks for this info. Will try to check it out with another sim.

Your fine to try any sim you want, once it's sim free from Apple direct, you can try as many SIM cards as you like.
