Just wondering if anyone here uses the Blackrock Medical Centre on the Skehard Road? I need to find a new GP as I'm not happy with my current one, and they seem to specialise in women's health, which is what I'm after.

I'm also considering Elmwood in Grange and I see lots of people here have recommended them in the past. Is there a particular GP there who'd be good with ladies' health issues? :)

I haven't gone to the Blackrock clinic but have heard good things. I go to Keane in Douglas she is in the same office as Dr. Crowley I like her think she is one of the better ones out there

I could recommend Dr. Batt on the Boreenmanna road, she is in a practice with another female doctor aswell if you can't get her. Avonlea Medical centre.

As far as I know the blackrock centre was just an amalgamation of a number of practices that were already operating in the area (I've noticed that its kinda 'split' into a few different waiting areas in there). But if you rang up and asked specifically for a doctor to suit your needs they would probably point you in the right direction?

Karmella, you're thinking of Blackrock Hall, that's a different place to Blackrock medical center.

I go to blackrock hall myself when my GP moved there. It has I think 4 GP surgeries there, who were previously spread out around the area.

Thanks everyone for the info and suggestions. :)

Milly, where in Douglas is Dr. Keane based? I haven't heard of her or Dr. Crowley.
