If you're really in the sh!t you need to get a new passport before you leave the country so you can do it under a different name/nationality. You can't stay at home while you wait for this. Go to a friends house, but not somewhere that the cops might be able to trace you to so no family etc. Then once you have the passport id say go to South America, maybe Venezuela. Try and find somewhere that won't extradite to Ireland, that might be hard though so try not to get recognised and don't tell anyone where you're going. 5k won't get you far so you'll probably need to find a job once you get where ever you're going. You'll have to figure that out yourself.

Bolivia is insanely cheap and if you go to Cochabamba, pretty much like a southern european country.

I'd head to Thailand and do a TEFL course, then head south to Indonesia and teach English there........best plan for long term survival.....or you could head east to Cambodia/Laos - i know people who've dissapeared there 10/15 years ago and are well set up there now.
And they are really cheap places to live.

Cheapest places eastern Europe Poland Czech etc. Or maybe central or south America.
South america is very cheap, if you can put up with corruption at all levels & the high crime rate

Paraguay is the cheapest country I've ever been to. I couldn't get rid of the money in there.

Try one of the lesser Greek islands. A couple of Ryanair hops and a ferry.

I would say that prison is probably the cheapest place in the world to live, for the one living there.

Why Indonesia , ? although its great for a holiday .Yes get the TEFL in Thailand ,at around 1,000 Euro for the 28 day course .After paying for the flight and the course and the months food and board ,the OP should have around 3,000 Euro left .
After that the World is his oyster .Thailand /Laos /Indonesia and Cambodia etc pay their teaches low wages but the cost of living is low .Places like Korea ,Japan ,and Saudi pay high wages ,but have expensive living costs .Maybe China is in the middle ,with reasonable wages and cost of living .

Kiribati is the place with lowest average income in a place where English is spoken. About $1600 a year.

    Enjoy.

    Prison.

Probably the cheapest of the lot (do they pay people in prison?), decent lodgings, regular exercise and they even come to collect you so no travel costs.

I'd get a flight to Cambodia with that and whats left over (about 4k) would last me about 3 months. I could stretch it to 6 months easy if I brought my Xbox and didn't eat western food.

Malta. Apart from taxis and mobile tariffs, you're set really. And I should know, I spend a good part of the year there, every year. :)
