They say you're far more likely to tell someone about a good experience than a bad one.

What springs to my mind is Meteor.

You've got that the wrong way around. People are more likely to tell of bad experiences than good ones.

I don't have any favourite brands. Most consumer level stuff has obsolescence designed into it. Professional grade that has been designed to be long lasting and/or easily repairable is the only way to go.

    Gillette

Does anyone use pseudoscience quite like them? Load of bollocks. The mark up on their razors is crazy.

Click on my linky in my sig to find out how to avoid them and start enjoying shaving instead and save a ton of money.

I'm trying to de-brand on clothing, usually by charity/2nd hand/thrift shop buying which avoids the sweatshop guilt. I have weakness for Converse however.

I've a terrible habit of only buying the best though, which means I am susceptible to brand marketing. It can be hard to separate out quality) good thing) from branding (formerly quality now made in China)

Is there really anything worse than that Penny's €3 fake tan?
Oh wait that would be those 'recession slipper' canvas shoes.
Also couldn't not mention Ugg and One Direction fan merchandise!

I am conflicted with UGG. They are actually warm, snuggly and fantastic to wear on an icy, freezing day. Nothing better than sheepskin on your feet in really horrible weather.

However there are rules! Not to be worn with light/summer/short clothing. To be worn as you would flip flops in the summer (very casually! Not into restaurants, to parties or to work). Not to be worn outside the house when they are clearly a model that are designed to be slippers/house boots. Not to be worn at all if they are a variety that is coloured or gimmicky (e.g knitted boots). Must be cleaned and waterproofed regularly if they are suitable for outside.

I have to admit to owning a pair which are used to tend to the ducks and chickens on a cold winter morning/evening and maybe to stand on a sports field or do the school/supermarket run in the dead of winter. They are not dress footwear, nor are they footwear for any season other than winter. I think misuse of them has lead to them being considered tacky.

VTech. I fūcking hate VTech. I can just about bear most other shīte out there, but VTech developers should be strung up for developing instruments of torture.
