They got 99 problems but a bitch ain't one!

Sometimes it's a problem worth having though...

Some men relish the chase, the work you put in laying groundwork chatting to a woman, playing games, before eventually getting them into bed. I suppose there's some kind of personal competitive element to it, they feel victorious, or something.

Most men that I know, fncking hate the chase. It's 3 or 4 hours of headwrecking does-she-doesn't-she, playing mind games, and being compltely and utterly terrified from the pit of your stomach, until at the end of it you're both so pissed you end up with a messy fumble of some of the least stimulating sex you've ever had. You don't feel victorious, you just feel like you've completely wasted your time, and you would have had more fun if you'd gone home and had a ****.

I would bet a fairly large sum of money that most of the men who claim to prefer a **** to sex are single. It's very hard to get a good shag from a one night stand. Occasionally I'm sure some people manage to get the chemistry right and a great time is had by all, but I imagine most of the time both people come away feeling slightly satisfied but also a bit peeved that they wasted so much time.

Well I've had a yeast infection since 2005. Do you reckon that could be it?

Probably not. Some men like their women a bit frothy.

I came across a man like this. I don't care if he liked it or not. :D

I reckon most men like the chase and when they do end up sleeping with their target they move on.

I'm wondering how that comment would've come out tbh. I'm almost afraid to ask did you ask them afterwards what they thought of sex or what way it went...

I'm thinking they pulled a "Tony Curtis" on you tbh Legs :D

Jaysus Czarcasm, I was messing! I think I'd end it all now if it were true...

Serious answer: I haven't met a man who hated sex and would rather ****. The men who were into it the most were usually very good at it.

Nope. As seamus said and I'd agree, most men don't. It's a royal pain in the arse. For me if it's someone I'm starting to like the chase gets old quick and TBH if there's too much "chase" I'm outa there. Life is too short. If you're after a "quickie" there's only so much chasing you'll do before thinking "Next!". Sex versus Self actualised "release"? Comes down to a few factors. One night stand awkward fumble? Knocking a quick one off is quicker, costs less and you're gonna do it better. Loving relationship? Different story, but even there sometimes a bit of onanism is warranted.

As for men who don't like sex? I've known a couple in my life. Asexuality while not that common is common enough. Men who go off sex? Defo. Has happened to me. After one bad breakup, arsed I couldn't have been for months. I was decidedly "meh" about the whole thing TBH. Actually turned it down too.

There's an awful lot of ballsology surrounding sex and the genders. It's accepted that women can go off sex, yet men are supposed to be constantly in a state of priapic sprouting, ever ready to pounce. No pressure like. Men, especially young men, seem to have a collective need to back this idea up, but it's nowhere near the real story. It's akin to the old and stupid idea that women weren't that pushed about sex and often suffered it for the sake of their men. Arse. Fact is there are times when I'm hornier than a billy goat rendering plant and other times I'd rather watch the telly. I doubt I'd be alone in this. Unless you're 14, with three newly emergent chin hairs, in which you're a spotty life support system for your nethers.

Many worry about Artificial Intelligence. I worry far more about Organic Idiocy.

Different people are different. None of my friends like "the chase" but I would guess a few acquaintances do. None of my friends would prefer a **** but over time and as age increases the desire to spend 100 quid on a night out with a 10-15% chance of pulling followed by likely mediocre sex loses its lustre.

If someone is in a relationship and would rather sit downstairs and jack it to some porn then there's something wrong.

    10 to 15%!!

Overall, yeah, we're not a handsome bunch. :pac: It's more that pulling wouldn't be the entire point of heading out every time.

I know people who are fairly indifferent re: sex even though they have OHs.

Mental health has a bearing on it too though sometimes its just not all black and white.

Yeah, well said Wibbs. Though I'm surprised most people haven't come across (if you'll pardon the pun) a 'Sheldon' or two in their lives, curiously asexual people that seem to have little or no interest in sex or relationships.

Then of course there are the many biological and psychological factors that contribute. Hormonal levels being one, women often have a decreeced libido after going through the menopause, and some men have very low testestrone levels.
    Psychology plays it's part too.
A major sidefect of depression is often the loss of libido, and how many people are there in this country that suffer badly from depression?
Then there are those for whom lifes experiences had tarnished sex for them, for example, the woman that was once the 'sex kitten poster girl' of an entire generation, Marriane Faithful wrote reciently that she had never enjoyed sex. She hated sex and men in general as a result of the experiences of her family, her grandmothers brutal rape and the abusive relationship of her parents. It was decades before she ever came to enjoy a sexual relationship.
Who'd have ever guessed the 'mars bar girl' that hung on the arm of so many famous actors and rock stars managed to swing her way throughout the entire swinging 60's without ever having an orgasam? That sad fact, like you said, really underlines the difference between the perception and reality of human sexuality

Morrissey is Asexual. I don't buy the whole garbage that men think of sex every 40 seconds either. Such a cliche
