Am just spitballing of course as Rodgers might prefer to stick with a flat back four, and our CB slots may remain as a duo consisting of two from Toure/Skrtel/Sakho/Agger.

Honestly - how good did it feel to include Sakho in that list of options??

Some highlights of that game, including the sending off. Have a look at Butland's positioning for the first goal.

Look carefully and you can see the exact moment where the Finnish player called Wisdom a shortarse. :d

What about Wisdom's positioning in the very first clip? Nice speed for the recovery though.

I'm more of a FM 04/05 fella. I still think Serge Makofo and Alexander Farnerud are worth signing...

In a wingback system, I think there is room for having one wing back being less attacking than the other as long as the less offensive one comes with good pace and the ability to win the ball and lay it off to a more offensive/creative player.

McAteer and Bjornebye were the perfect balance of wing backs IMO

@LFC: #LFC can today confirm that Joao Carlos Teixeira has joined Brentford on a one-month loan: http://t.co/OkZtuQfQ8h http://t.co/GwawQyWLHY"

Interesting move. I really hope that he gets some game time there. the fact that it is a one month thing rather than longer maybe signals that they are hoping to get him involved sooner rather than later once he can get some gametime. Either that or else no one was interested in a longer loan period.

Bradford?! Anyone know if Phil Parkinson is a progressive manager? Oh sorry Brentford! Uwe Rosler.

Brentford Manager Uwe Rösler said: “We have been following Joao for a while.

“We have not scored many goals so far this season and it is not down to the lack of opportunities.

“I feel we needed another addition to give us extra quality in the final third.

“We have watched him and now he has become available we have been able to take him.

“We thank Liverpool Football Club for allowing Joao to come here, he will give us something creative we need, especially when teams sit deep against us.

“This is Joao’s first loan spell and we have to be careful with him and look after him.

“We could see today in training that he has enormous quality in terms of his work in the final third, releasing the ball at the right time.

“And he is a goal threat.”

    Link says its until Jan
Teixeira will remain at Griffin Park with Uwe Rosler's Brentford until January, before returning to the Reds' Kirkby Academy.

You have mentioned him a few times in the past alright.

Was just looking at his stats, and noticed he only played 14 league games last season. Was he injured or are the online stats just not updated?

Started 15 and came off the bench in 5 other league games according to Soccerway. No idea as to the reason for him playing less league games last season than in previous seasons.

He still played in quite a number of games factoring in all competitions. Tripled the amount of games started last season in Europe. Also he has started all but one of the 11 games he played for the national team over the past two years including starting every game at the Euros and World Cup Qualifying so far.

Excellent to see tex go out on loan, hopefully a few others will head out on loan too. Quite refreshing to see the academy and the club use the loan market properly

Great move for him to be honest. Brentford are a decent footballing side considering the division they're in. I think they should have enough players to exploit the kind of intelligent football that Teixeira can bring to them. What's also good is that most of the teams he'll be playing against are going to be very physical. For me, this is where Teixeira needs to be tested. He needs to be able to experience the physical side of English football and have lumps kicked out of him.

Controversial Liverpool striker Luis Suarez has stunned the club by demanding that they sell him in the January transfer window to their bitter rivals citing an obscure clause relating to an internet discussion forum. Was going to take it with my right to show the lads here I'm two footed but figured that'd be petty tbh

I want all the best players in the world to play for LFC and none of them to ever play international football.

Nope, keep hendo away from the turd anti-football manager.

And he scores! Lovely little jinking run through the defence, poor 'keeping though.
