Full kit iphone bus **** I call them.

Only one thing worse than a full kit Celtic wanker playing with his iphone.

Yep, a full kit Rangers cunt (no phone because they can't afford it and wouldn't know how to use it).

What ever happened to people buying a product that they want for what ever reason they want and everyone else minding their own fcuking business?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,277 ✭✭✭✭How Soon Is Now

Its an ignorance thing more then anything.

Theres a lot of stupid people with no great knowledge of technology who dont review products before they buy them. They see how the iphone is marketed and that there in your face all the time. I mean the way company's go on you would think you couldnt get apps on any other phone but the iphone......

People have been brainwashed by Apple to believe the iphone is and has always been the best phone on the market as long as they have being selling it. Its like back in the day when people used to call all the games consoles a Nintendo because that was the brand installed in your memory!

I see it happen all the time with smartphones now. Its not ''Can i use your phone?'' Its ''Can i use your iphone?''

I had a conversation with this girl i know before shes not the brightest she was asking me where she should buy her phone and what it should be. I told her buy it online and because you only want to use it for certain things there are loads of options the basic user does not need to shell out 500 plus for a phone to do what they want to do!.

Guess what phone she wanted and guess how much she actually really knew about it........ :pac:

Id say 1 out of every 4 people who own an iphone or any of apples products in general is a sheep.

I'd rather be a self cantered materialistic arse hole than a grumpy unhappy miserable bastard taking to the Internet to bash people on their phone choice.

    Horses for courses of course.

I wouldn't mind they are not even the best on the market anymore nor are they premium, other phones have far surpassed iPhones but the sheep still think they rocking something special.

So your saying that people who buy iPhones do so because they like them and are not sheeple like those others that are drawn by advertising and claims of ultra fast processor speeds and 9000 billion pixel cameras. Now who's the wanker. .

The iphone users that annoy me are the ones that think you dont have an iphone because you cant afford it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,309 ✭✭✭✭B.A._Baracus

I never understood why a person would buy an iPhone. Hey it's there money they can do what they want, but why pay so much for a phone? What can it do that a reasonably priced smartphone cant? (Sure you can get a HTC for €99)

Take the iPhone 5 here at carphone warehouse. €679 euro! That's well over the average weeks wage. Heck, near double if you are on min wage. And for what? It's a phone.

A phone can break, a phone can get lost or more importantly a rather expensive phone is far likely to get stolen or get you mugged. It's madness.

This argument doesn't exist in this day and age does it? They can be got for no initial outlay and a reasonably priced if not ridiculously long contract. They are not in the least bit exclusive anymore. My mother has one, my next door neighbours kid has one, there's 2 of them buried in the back of a cupboard in my house.

I'm guessing you just encounter a lot of **** in your day to day life, regardless of what phone they own.
I've honestly never met anybody boasting about owning any brand of phone.

Why worry about what kind of phone someone has? Baffles me that people get so worked up about trivial things tbh.

And for the record, if you are out and see people on their phones, chances are there will be Samsungs and Nokias involved, but sure they are all sound I suppose...

Yeah, really didn't think they were that exclusive at all.

They are fairly useful to some people (I find it great for work).

I've no emotional attachment to it and perhaps there's better smartphones out there but IPhone does the trick for me.

I think it's fair to say OP is a prize prick

I don't see how any of that factors into iPhone ownership (and I'm not an iPhone owner). What about people who actually make use of the huge range of apps out there? For example, I'm a journalist and I use an iPad mini specifically for tracking appointments on the go, writing up articles when on location, quickly referencing and researching information and generally replacing the need to bring a laptop. If they released an iPhone the size of a galaxy note, I'd use that for everything, because it'd reduce what I need to carry even further, basically.

Different things are important to different people, some people I have noticed seem to think because they have a 10 year old Nokia they can brag about how they aren't sheep and how much better they are because their phone is so cheap. I have an iPhone, I have had one for years, I don't brag about it, it's a phone like all other phones, it makes calls and texts, yes it does a lot of other things and I make very good use of those.

Everyone has those few things that they don't skimp on because that's what they enjoy, be it clothes, getting your hair done, a nice car or even something as simple as the more expensive bottle or wine or steak. I might not understand the way someone else might buy a brand new car as I think that is a waste of money but its there money to do what they want with. The same way OP doesn't understand why I would spend so much money on a phone, that's fine OP it's my money and I'll do what I want with it, just cause you don't understand why I would spend so much money on it doesn't mean that I am stupid or a sheep it just means that I like my iPhone and its something that I believe is worth spending my money on.

Maybe so. Still that doesn't explain the vitriol in the OPs post. Does he get angry at real sheep too? If so, why?

Why get angry at people being dumb sheep. Seems like a strange emotional response

    Oh god yes this

IPhones can serve a purpose of being a genuinely useful pocket computer, beats on the other hand cost 5 times what they should, and are very poor in terms of sounds quality... Though it seems to be a thing that the general public think it's of bass means great sound. Can't blame beats for capitalizing on ignorance, id do the same in their position

anyone who spends a couple of ton on beats deserves to have spent a couple of ton on beats to be honest

Can't really comment as I've only ever had a quick look at a HTC phone, was quite nice. I had an iPhone before and Samsung is just so refreshingly better. iPhones seem to be made to last for just over a year, ironic because when I inquired about getting mine fixed I was told they only gave a years warranty. I know of many people who have had iPhones that have rapidly gone downhill after the first year.
