come on thats too coincidental lets call it an easter egg

Definitely a link there, in the game the guy's name is Rosby Wilkins and the real guy was called Leon Rosby.

I read the first 3 lines of the IGN preview and closed the page, don't want to know that stuff.

    A few vids.

Ego Chaser ad showing BMXing, running, swiming, etc. BMXing looks class!

Yep I did exactly the same man. I love reading new info about the game but I really don't want some guy ruining every single mission in it before I get to play.

    Tennis

Tennis is a very competitive sport that hasn't changed much since the 1800s. It is still an obsession of angry upper class swingers who like to sit in the stands, drink wine, and complain about diversity.
    Hiking

It's the sport preferred by lonely psychopaths and aspiring sexual offenders

I can tell you now, the chances of me not mowing down a group of cyclists is at an all time low of 0%.

Anyone think there'll be different breeds of dogs? So far it's just looking like Rotweillers/Pitbulls everywhere.

That shot looks like its from the editor, if you look at the house on the left, you can see the red, green and blue arrows that are commonly used in editors and 3d applications for moving objects in three dimensions.

Just how much of a living and breathing city is it expected/reported to be? I guess we'll have to play it to see just how alive the game feels, but for me that is the biggest thing I'm looking forward to.

Neon signs now make a buzzing sound when you walk past them and after driving a car and turn off the engine it makes that ticking sound when its cooling down. That will just give you an idea of the amount of detail they put into this game.

    Well spotted.

Yay! They're keeping the ability to switch off the engine. I loved that in IV. :o

I could have sworn the ticking was there in IV though?

I've never noticed the ticking sound in IV and I read it in yesterdays IGN review and they spoke about it as if it was new.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,009 ✭✭✭✭wnolan1992

Yeah, maybe I'm just imagining things. :o

It's kind of sad how happy the thought of being able to shut off the engine, get out and stand listening to it tick cool makes me... :P

It's all about the immersion! That sort of thing will just one of many that keeps me totally lost in the world of GTA V for months :D

Kinda getting worried thereis no talk of gambling. Surely if gambling and casinos are in, they would be in that travel guide bit?

The last 4 sections to be revealed are Sightseing & Celebrity, Lovely Accomodations, 24 hour convenience stores, Opportunity for the upwardly mobile.

Would be a shame if there was no gambling.

Especially when you come tearing along in a supercar, pull up at a scenic spot to stop and take in the sunset and you're just standing there listening to the sea and the slow tick-tick of the big V8 behind you. :D

I will probably do the same except ill be waiting for helpless joggers to come along so I can push them off the scenic spot and admire the physics of them tumbling down a cliff :D

Im looking forward to the flying style and the crash physics!

Well you can invest in the stock market which is a form of gambling!

To be honest with the amount of content that's going to be in the game I'd be surprised if they didn't have gambling in it. We'll just have to wait and see I suppose. Didn't someone spot a racing track on a screenshot a while back?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,401 ✭✭✭Royal Irish

Yeah and there was a big casino sign on the building beside the track.

I won't mind if there is no gambling, too easy to get vast amounts of cash with little effort, I want a challenge this time because in San Andreas I would save the game, go to the casino, stick all my money on red, win = rich, lose = load the game and repeat until you win. Cheating little båstard I was!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 30,304 ✭✭✭✭Zero-Cool

Yeah, what looked like a casino and race track. Maybe it will be revealed in the 'upwardly mobile' section whatever that means.

You can turn off the engine in 4? How do you do that?

Hold the exit button when you're getting out of the car.

Was just thinking there, anyone else find it weird that we're all so anxious to play this game but you can be pretty much guaranteed that there are a lot of people working on it who couldn't be more glad to see the back of it :P

How they stop the game from leaking majorly every single time is beyond me. It's very impressive.
