Nice find. Prob pick it up for about €1200. I can't fathom why someone walked into a Merc dealership back in 2000 a opted for a manual over an auto though.!

Maybe they're weird like me and hate manuals.

Plus it says 128000 km in the ad when the clock clearly says 126000 miles.... :)

..... and being over 20 years it's possible to get classic insurance on it as well if you shop around, asking €650.

You probably won't get cheaper reliable motoring for 12 months than this.

Only as a second car, just to keep the expectations realistic. If it's going to be your main car you won't get a classic policy. But it should be cheap enough to insure anyway, good find....

I'm going to buy every felt speck car I can find and donate it to the irish army for training purposes...provided they let me drive a tank over one if them.
They can then have the rest! :pac:

One cannot go from a levin to felt.

Well I would like to get something that is cheap to buy and modify and a Vento fits the bill. I would like to do it in a way that would slag off Felters rather than join them.

If it was me I'd buy that bangernomics 406 and slap a bigger turbo on her.
Nothing slags off felters more, than being burned by a 406.

Obligatory "miser on diesel" makes me automatically ignore the ad and think the seller is a wanker.

    The more the merrier!
It's the best way to piss on a felters brigade.
You could always do similar with a vento. .

The last 2 cars I've seen the Bomb Disposal use were a Volvo S40 (heh heh heh :pac:) and a Rover 214. I remember watching them blow up a 405 years ago, feckin class so it was
