Fecking hated that last mission the first time I completed the game. The second time I knew what was gonna go down so made sure I was fire proof before going near it. Chasing that fire truck was a load of balls too.

Rockstar has reached out to Game and other UK game stores to not dispatch copies of GTA V until Sept 16th. They want to make sure no one gets it early but doing this, a lot of people won't have it delivered for launch day.

Someone mentioned this a few pages ago but the thoughts that this game is gold, pressed, packaged and in some warehouse somewhere is killing me.

I am trying to keep myself occupied by tipping around in GTA IV at night but am finding myself thinking more and more about this game and how great it is going to be.

I have two kids and am have gone sale agreed on a really nice family home, and all I can think of is ****ing GTA V!?!

Running over prostitutes and pedestrians, fun for all the family. Sounds like a Mastercard ad in the making.

That happened for San Andreas when I worked in retail, there's me in charge of the games dept having kittens as it's 11am on GTA launch day and not a sign of the delivery truck. We got a few hundred copies and had to turn people away who had been standing outside at 9am waiting for it, was ridiculous.

I can understand Rockstar not wanting people to get it early but then you're just inconveniencing shops and customers waiting so late. We used to get other releases 4-5 days before launch sometimes, many a new game I was allowed take home and then pay for on launch day hehe.

I'm passing the time by playing Europa Universalis. Nothing like running a country for 400 years where each year can take up to an hour if you want to make the time fly by! :pac:

Don't press full down on the aiming button (LT on xbox, not sure what it is on ps3), press halfway or so and you have free aim, that's what you do on xbox anyway

Too right!

Game emailed me saying they weren't shipping until the 16th. I sent the package to parcel motel NI, so they prob won't get it until the 18th. Then it'll be the 19th before I get it in Limerick!

They should all be allowed to ship on the 14th :mad:

I'm hoping Gamesnash might follow Amazon and ship on the 14th. My brother is going to the Gamestop midnight launch to get his. I just know he'll be sending me texts from 1am to the next day to make me jealous :mad:

There is somewhat of a learning curve alright, but nothing too difficult. The main thing is just getting used to where everything is in the UI and getting used to the fact that you can't just decide "Hmmm, I think I'll go to war with.... *eenie-meenie-miney-moe*... you!" or you'll get punished for it.

Maybe 30 minutes to run through the tutorials and an hour actually playing the game and you'd be pretty much set.

One of the cool things about it is that you set your own goals. Like, you get a mission from your government, but you can choose to just ignore it and do what you want to do. At the moment, I'm meant to be going to war with Lithuania, but they're extremely strong and my army is sh*t (large numbers but crap at fighting), so I'm sending insults to Moscowy (a neighbouring country where Moscow is) to try and get them to declare war on me so I can take some of their land. :P

You'll be waiting I'm afraid Gamesnash forum is no longer supported. Pat deals with any queries now through PM's. (there is a sticky with this info at the top of their forum)

Anyway, a seller can't come straight out and say they will ship early, or I'm sure they will suffer huge fines, especially with GTA. If another Irish store breaks the retail date and there is proof they shipped it early, other Irish stores will do the same and the original date breaker will be punished (forgive me if any of this is wrong

Pat said before if no other stores break the date, they will ship on the 16th and you should have it on the 17th. I'm fine with this as I always get new releases on release date from them.

Also, since this is a rare Tuesday release date, very very few places are going to dispatch on the Friday to get it to you on the Monday. They would be breaking street date by 3 days which could cause them an even bigger fine.

If you do happen to get this on Monday 16th from anyone, I'd say keep quiet about it.

I thought it was info about the campaign story but think it's actually Rockstar discussing how they built the world of GTA V. Should be very interesting.
