Barry is close to joining Everton and they are also signing McCarthy. At this rate, Fellaini is surely a done deal or at very advanced stage. We have to sign one more CM too. Fellaini and Herrera in 1 day is too good to believe.

Many journos saying Madrid are trying to sell Di Maria too. Would be a superb addition to the team. Left footed left winger who can play on either wings, quality addition.

So nobody think Moyes is mental then??

I think everyone thought he was nuts, and vented accordingly yesterday...

    Hello? Earth to Moyes

Everybody has already commented on it, yesterday.

I just don't understand any of our dealings.....

    - Why wait until the last minute?
    - Why bother putting in ridiculously low offers for Baines, Felliani and Fabregas that are never going to be accepted?
    - Why not go for Ozil who is probably the best in the world in his position?
    - Why deny the Ozil story, even if we've no interest, it'll just show the club(s) that we are talking to we have no other options?
So nobody think Moyes is mental then?? He thinks the team played well yesterday...

What he says publically and what he says privately are probably two different things. Fergie's #1 rule of management: defend your players and stand by them.

He is a fantastic player. But I doubt we would go for him.

People thought he was genuinely happy?

always put you down as one of the people who said all summer that everything was ok, so why the change now?

because there's 12 hours to go and nothing has been done to improve midfield. You see Homer, now you can legitimately get angry because you've given the club the whole damn window to sort something out and they haven't.

I believe being less then 12 hours from the window closing and a couple of inept performances have shaken people up a little.

Probably not, but I, and I think many others, were annoyed at the time how his comments came across as slightly delusional.

I get the idea of backing the team, but there's a line between that and looking like you've got your head stuck in the sand. I'm all for defending a poor performance, but that's not the same as saying it was a good performance.

would be a great signing but di maria is very injury prone and considering English football is a tougher style of football

So are people who were criticising the way the club was going about its transfer business this summer vindicated yet then?

    Fixed that

I guess this is where the line for 'late in the window' is.

Funny thing is as bad as the last few months have been , if and I know it's if but Fellaini and Herrera added to Rooney, nani Kagawa and rafael and Evans all missing from starting team for different reasons, the squad would look pretty damn good, Those 5 missing yesterday took such pace and urgency out of the squad, if the manager says nani or Kagawa were not up to the pace of a full 90 ill believe him , in 4 weeks if there not starting as regulars we should be pi**ed off,

Just checked stats, he made 90 league appearances in the last 3 seasons and 140 overall appearances. That's a good stat tbh.

United don't need Ozil when we have Giggs and Young.

Meanwhile, a rumour is United are to get a new sponsor, SpecSavers (Source: KKnews)

Ok i didnt get a chance to read the thread or see coments yesterday regarding Moyes.
I was in the pub !!

Im just in a bit of shock that he actually had the neck to come out and say the team played well and it was one of their better performances this season !!

    Cleverly,young,wellbeck,valencia,giggs.....

All not near good enough at this stage for a team to compete for the title.

there is no vindication for either side to be honest -

those who slammed the club are correct as the deals should be done long time ago and the way we went about it was poor.

those who said lets wait until the window will also be right (we all hope so anyway) as players will be signed in the next 12 hours.

Not exactly, the quality of player needed will not be signed now.
