    Vague synopsis according to Wiki,

An unusual strategy starts to bear fruit, while plans are set in motion that could change everything.

I'm guessing the unusual strategy referred to is Walt's decision to issue Hank with a taped confession that implicates as the mastermind behind Walt's crimes and the plans set in motion are something to do with Lydia's operation. Initial lazy prediction but hey, whatever. Roll on Monday!

I wish every Sunday forever had a new Breaking Bad episode, it would make Mondays great.

I think Jesse will simply have second thoughts about burning the house, as opposed to Walt or someone else catching up with him.

I wonder if the episode title is a reference to the episode in season 4 'problem dog' where Jesse euphemistically refers to Gale as a problem dog who needed to be put down. Maybe Jesse is the rabid dog who needs to be euthanised for the greater good? In that same sequence Jesse comes clean to his NA group about being there to sell them drugs, maybe he will feel compelled to confess to Hank or someone else in authority now that his last ties of loyalty to Walt have been broken?

I take it promo 'spoilers' are fair game here.

It sounds to me in the latest clip that Jesse is talking to Walt Jr. in the house 'Mr. White is the devil'. Will be a watershed moment if that is the case, how low will Walt go?

Any actions to the contrary will result in a cap being popped into his ass

I have a hunch the rabid dog is Todd...that lil polite sonovabeetch is gonna have saliva dripping from his jaws at some stage in the show and we're running out of episodes.

The actor who plays Walt jr has said that him and Aaron Paul finally have a scene together this season so this is probably it

Given the cliffhanger we were left with last week, that almost feels like a spoiler. The most likely thing would be that Walt Jr. walks in and catches Jesse but of course it is Breaking Bad. I'm probably heading for wrongitude.

Okay I officially give up rooting for anyone in this show after that episode. I wonder what where Walt really lives could refer to? Money? His family?

Good bit of filler there in the first 10 mins! Thought Jesse was going to change his mind about helping hank after looking at Walt's photo etc

Wonder what Jesse means by saying where Walt really lives. Sounds like a threat to his family

Last time I stayed awake an extra hour till Crazy O' Clock to watch a show was when Lost was at its peak. This is top drawer television.

    So tired...

Only a couple of episodes ago, I'd have said that the BrBa morality dictated that Walter had to die. But it seems now that everyone's as bad as him. Marie looking up untraceable poisens, Hank's acting fatherly to Jesse but having little regard for his life, Skyler pushing for the murder of the ''well if Walter kills this person he's well sealed his own dramatic fate'' character.

Vince Gilligan has been saying in interviews all season that the show is about how everyone has that darkness in them, it just needs the right circumstances to blossom.

Hit him where he lives? He won't go after his money or his family guys. Come on! It's obvious! He'll go after his empire. Remember?

"Are we in the meth business or the money making business?" "I'm in the Empire business".
    :D

They'll catch him by luring him into cooking again. They have no evidence of past indiscretions but they can catch him cooking now if he comes out of retirement. That's what I think Jessie will try to do.

OOOOH you could well be right. I had assumed his family, but what if Jesse starts cooking with Todd's nutjob uncle? If Jesse agreed to cook for them in exchange for murdering Walter, then that would certainly contribute to the alone-in-the-world Walter we see in Live Free Or Die.

Again fantastic episode, so much tension in the opening scene when Walt arrives back at his house, with the later revelation he had missed Jessie and Hank by seconds.

So many characters show their darkest sides in this episode, Skylar openly asks Walt to kill Jessie saying something along the lines of what's one more body... then we have Marie looking at the poison information online, unaware this is a parallel to Walt looking up poisons earlier in the show. We also see Hank is willing to do anything he can to catch Walt, not worried for Jessiech's safety he was willing to put him in direct danger to catch his man. Then we have the phonecall to Todd. This whole episode hinted strongly at death. The church bells at the end of the episode were very haunting.

Just got up early to watch this, fúck it might actually watch it again straight away :pac:

I thought the opening scene was pretty humorous actually, Walt's absurdly tiny gun, his Starsky-and-Hutch-esque posturing. Despite being the great and powerful Heisenberg, he's still a goober at the end of the day. His cock and bull story about the petrol was so obviously fake that it was a relief that Walt Jnr called him out on it. I feel sorry for him, he's the only character (apart from Holly) who doesn't seem to have a bad bone in his body. I actually hope he never finds out the truth about his father, I'd hate to see his innocence shattered.

One thing that I thought about Marie's scene with the therapist (Dave?) was that the kind of things that she was saying- 'those poor kids, the baby', alluding to Walts 'little movie' and how what she had found out about Walt was the most reprehensible thing ever, might lead him to suspect that he is involved in child abuse/pornography. AFAIK if a therapist suspects this he is legally bound to alert the authorities. This could be a long shot but it might complicate things further to have Walt under investigation by another branch of the police.

It really feels like the beginning of the end now, the gloves are off with Hank, Marie and Skyler showing their inner ruthlessness when it comes to collateral damage. The ironic thing is that in this situation the only person who seems to genuinely care for Jesse's well being is Walt. Everyone else just sees him as a problem to be surmounted or a means to an end.

I wonder if Walt's involvement with the Nazi gang, presumably to take out Jesse before he harms him or his family, will be instrumental in his downfall?

All and all I think it was a good slow burn episode, IMO it didn't have the same tension as previous episodes but I also think that that was unsustainable. They moved the plot along and developed the characters and their relationships- Walt finally stopping bullsh!tting Skyler about the threat to their family, Hank and Jesse making an allegiance, Hank bringing Gomez onside. Its setting things up nicely for what should be an awesome finale!

Great episode. Couldn't compare to last week's but few episodes throughout the whole series could. They needed a slower episode to set more things up for the last few. And Hank bursting in and stopping Jesse was a really great moment. He seemed so defeated when we last saw him that having him burst in and convince Jesse to work with him really brought him back into it. Skyler suggesting that Walt should kill Jesse was another great moment. She's really turned.

Biggest question is: Where does Walt really live?

Is Jesse going to go after his money? Managing to take all the money and leaving Walt with nothing puts him back at square one with nothing to leave his family when he dies. But I can't see how Jesse and Hank would be able to find the money, because even Saul doesn't know.

Will he go after his reputation as Heisenberg? Knowing how ego-driven Walt is, doing something to tarnish the Heisenberg name could seriously mess with Walt's head.

Would Hank agree to go along with a plan that involved Skyler or Walt Jr.?

I was thinking the exact same thing, found myself thinking that if I were Dave I would be guessing something like this..!

Walt has become so good at lying that his 'lying voice' immediately gives him away...

There were so many twists and turns with everyone showing how ruthless they can be...couldn't believe when Walter phoned Todd at the end, I have lost any and all sympathy for him now. If Jesse doesn't make it out of this alive I will not be responsible for my actions lol

Great episode. Not much to add that's not already been mentioned, but did anyone else notice the lingering camera shot of Hank through the bars of the chair as he talks to Gomez after Jesse goes to the bathroom? Will Walts dvd be found and Hank ends up in jail accused of having a greater involvement than he actually did?

Walt would never cook again, not with Hank on his tail. He made it clear to Lydia that he's out and wants nothing more to do with the business.

Jesse is almost certainly going after Walt's family. That's his weak spot. I doubt he would do anything to harm them physically, but he may threaten to reveal all to Walt Jr.
