A mate of mine hit a manhole cover that wasn't out in properly, it was sticking up like a ramp.
The car flipped three times, spun 360 and landed on the roof.
Broke his back and spent the next year in a back brace and crunches, fittest one out if all of us now though.

But still - he ended up pretty well. I would love to end up like that if such a stone would fall on me.
