On a serious note that 518d must be very sluggish off boost. I'm sure in the turbo range it is ok but it must feel very heavy off the line.

And of course, absolute madness to part with near 50k for one.

What can we do or not do ?

Ah it's a year away yet.

Ah Christ that's unfair, greedy prick :)
I once bought a car and seen into his shed at one point and there in the shed was a 131 abarth. Nearly got sick.
Just realised that means something very different now these days :o

Tough break dude.... Still, you now know the misery of a poorly minded, un-maintained car, if that were mine that wouldn't have happened ;) but I'm a special type of c*nt....

I'm the opposite though, looking foreward to the day I get behind the wheel of an Alfa Fiat again :pac:

Hmmm so I'm just realising that the M3 wheels will not fit a non M car without some serious modification. Need to rethink my wheels options I think!

I like the wheels on it at the moment.

I looking for little things to do, would you do the brakes?

The wheels on it at the moment look good from a distance, but in reality they're not in good shape at all. Have just done the rear discs and pads, and the fronts are grand enough for now. Have just wanted to do the wheels for a while now, and saw a set on BMW-Driver. Would have bought them had I not realised that they wont fit!

You'd have to be mental to own a manual R32 in this country.

I would have to agree, unless you get a very good deal on it. Being in the highest tax bracket makes it hard to justify when you could have an M3, S4.

But the sound of the V6 is sweet.

Hehe I was joking. Please tell me it is not an sdi golf or a 1.4 golf!

Agreed with the hard to justify bit. I reckon I would not pay the top bracket tax unless I was getting a v8 in return at least.

Mine are peeling, so I'm thinking of getting them refurbished.

Jaypers the OH went on a mad car cleaning spree yesterday, not detailing, but cleaned all the glass, all the leather inside and all the trim.

    It's lovely.

I've gotten into driving the long way to places, e.g. Swords to Howth via Malahide for sheer enjoyment :)

Pred are you moving job did I read?
