    Talk of Watt going out on loan. If that happens I take it we'll sign another striker or maybe get a striker in on loan.

    Watt going on loan has been on the cards for a month now, I think he badly needs to go out and get regular football. Aberdeen would be a good fit for him, the sheep be pissed that he wont be able to play against us though.

    He'd be a good signing, good going forward but defensively suspect aswell i think, we badly need direct competition for Izaguirre so I hope it happens.

    Slightly suspect at the back but is a good ball winner and has impressed without really being given a good chance. Would be an excellent LB in the SPL and he's a very good striker of the ball and would suit Celtic's style of play. He's very good going forward.

    Hearing that this loan deal could form part of a merry-go-round of

    Buttner -> Celtic
    Baines -> United
    Izaguirre -> Everton

    The SFPL deadline closes tonight so the Buttner deal has to be done today and the Izaguirre transfer can happen on Monday. He'll be a downgrade on Baines but a Martinez style full back.

    That was some run by van Dijk, should have finished it better :eek:

    I've been impressed by van Dijk, so confident on the ball. Hopefully he can form a strong partnership with someone at the back

    Stokes looking good too

    Not looking good for Lustig, hopefully not too serious

    Worried about Lustig, looked nasty. Fingers crossed for him. Could do without it but thankfully Matthews is a good option.

    Fairly serious looking, he's been excellent for us since he cut his hair!

    Gunning was reckless imo

    EDIT

    Medical team decided he doesnt need to go to hospital. He'll still need scans done to make sure, no?

    Yas. Well taken free by Stokes. 0-1 Hoops.

    I think that took a slight deflection off the wall. Good to see Stokes taking his opportunity to secure a regular start in the team.

    No handshake for Lenny from Jackie? Or did I miss it?

    Hard fought for 3 points, DUTD really put it up to Celtic. Excellent fk by Stokes. Good performances from Ambrose, & van Dijk at the back too, looks like the pairing Lennon will go with in future.

    Hopefully Lustig wont be out long

    Caps a perfect week. Ambrose looks to have found some form, I hope there's no African Cup of Nations this season. Stokes is going the right way about getting a new contract.

    Nice from Stokes. I think Gunning should have been off for his carry on today

    Watt travelling to Belgium to sign on loan with Lierse according to reports. Seems a strange one

    In the post match interview Lenny said they will try to get 1 or 2 more in by tonight. Buttner on loan and Tomlin from Peterborough were mentioned by the Sky Sports presenter.

    Tomlin is a quality footballer. I think he'd do really well at Celtic.

    Could have been had Virgil made a fuss over the kick he got from him.

    Have to say I thought Brown was excellent today, really commanded midfield, great captain.

    A £1.2m bid has been rejected for Tomlin, Celtic expected to keep negotiating

    Buttner deal seems to hinge on a breakthrough in talks for Baines, according to his agent

    Really? I thought he was only average today, put himself about allright but his passing was shocking. im a fan of his but today wasnt one of his better days.

    Our best midfielder by a mile today imo. For the game that was in it, he had a great game I thought.

    Ambrose looked more like his old self again which is good news.

    Sky Sports reporting Peter Lawwell has left Celtic Park looks like no more signings

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,738 ✭✭✭RoryMac

    Yeah looks like we're done for this window. I'm sure the transfer window closing 2 days before the English one didn't help but a little disappointing

    Why is the transfer window closing in Scotland tonight. Has anyone at the SFA been asked for an explanation?
