Upgrading Audi A4 MMI to include Audio Streaming?

Hi guys,
Can anyone advise me on whether it is possible to upgrade a MMI system on an Audi 2010 A4 to have the ability to stream audio through Bluetooth? My car currently has a connector for my iPhone/iPod on the passenger side glove box but I would love to be able to play and control Spotify through the MMI system.
Is this possible at all through a software upgrade or something?

A2DP is dependent on Hardware.
I can't see why a manufacturer would disable it if the hardware is capable.

Maybe try one of these ?

Yes I have been looking at them as an alternative. You don't happen to know any place in Dublin that sells them or are they only for sale online?

Regards your first statement, I don't quite follow. What do you mean by the hardware being capable?? Capable of what??

Does your car radio have an audi bluetooth kit installed?

Yes there is bluetooth for telephones calls but not for audio streaming.

ah, arse. I know Speedway here had a similar issue, he found out it was his actual radio that didnt support it, and had to get a new radio. Not sure did he ever go down that route.

Capable of streaming audio using the A2DP Profile.

Your car more than likely only supports the Hands-Free Profile (HFP)
New software will not give it more capabilities.
