I'm pretty happy with the ops frequency, you'd miss out on a lot of the background info it it wasn't there so I'd say keep it. Clearence Delivery might be nice, but probably would crowd it a bit at times.

I don't think it is, maybe I'm wrong, I'll listen in and see sure... I usually only listen at night, so rarely are people getting clearances...

Just wanted to say a quick thank for hosting these - have spent many an hour listening to them when I should have been doing something more constructive......

Just listening in and one of the Ryanair crews said: "There's no one here to pick us up, and none of us are able to drive, can you send someone down from crew control to pick us up?" Do crews usually get picked up by a bus or something from the plane? Do they not have to clear passport controls and customs like everyone else or did I interpret that incorrectly?

Thanks for the info, do they just get dropped to the passport/customs section, or can they just stroll home once their finished? Sounded a bit odd to me. Thanks for the info.

You see quite a number of small vans outside the FR HQ building. The crew check-in and do briefings in HQ/Ops area. They then use the bus to transport themselves to their aircraft. An inbound crew can usually take the outbound crews bus back to HQ. Both in and out of airside locations FR crews clear security and customs checks.

Just want to say thanks man as it's a great service you give us, it's fantastic.
It may be a great reason to get out and get some air this weekend now for the rest of us, perhaps you should do this more ;)

Not sure if anyone got a chance to see this, but TV3 Midweek had a behind the scenes segment on ATC in Dublin on last nights show. It was nice to see the faces behind some of the voices and of course see what the inside of the tower looks like.

Here's the link: http://www.tv3.ie/3player/show/192/68253/1/MidWeek, it starts around the 20 minute mark :)

Sorry people, my feed is going down a day earlier than planned, as in tonight at approx 10pm.

Reason is that I gotta do a bit of maintenance on the pc (hoover it out etc) and use my sound "line in" to test a few bits of backup audio gear in prep for the upcoming party gig (not Flightfest but my mums 70th:)).

Will hopefully be back up and running on Sunday evening with the EQ turned back on to feed settings to cleanup the hiss we have had since its removal.

While im gone don't just stop listening, please support the other two feeders.

Thanks for listening in, and im asking everyone have another think (and post) about what freq should be in the everyday lineup. its a bit cluttered at the min in my own view.

    Pat.

Good to see it, had to stick with it though as the intro almost put me off. "...do you ever think about how dangerous flying really is..."
