It just said that I was unsuccessful as I said in previous posts the salary was a extremely low compared to what I'm getting with my current employer,But if I had managed to get through the competition I might have been able to scrap by for the three years.

I placed in the 60's. I'm sitting in work here shaking- really thought I'd fluffed the tests.

Well done kablamo, didn't make it myself, too far down the list. And well done to everyone else that got through.

the money really is a huge issue as people have already pointed out,it would be nice to have a set in stone figure after shift allowances

Placed just outside the 250 but did better then I thought I would. The very best of luck to all going forward

i was having a read of the information booklet last night. stage two will be quite a hurdle to jump.

im nervous and looking forward to it at the same time

So close.... barely outside the 250. Bollocks

Best of luck to all those who made it through.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 54 ✭✭Dublinmackem

Seems to be a few people who applied but then on second thoughts decided the money was too crap, hope a few of them were in the top 250 and decide to opt out now to give us lot who finished just outside a chance to get back in because if they opt out after next stage then we won't get the chance :(
Big plea to anyone who's just doing it for the craic so... Please throw in the towel now :p

I made it through but I am very surprised I did. Anyone else shocked they got through? I thought my tests were way under what they should have been. I reckon accuracy is what got me through so high. I didnt get very far into the simulation test but seems that i have done very well. When I sat the tests I was sure I was done for! Honestly didnt think i'd even of made the top 2,000 but they must have put alot of weight on accuracy over amount completed. Anyone else find this? Also, how many positions are being recruited for out of the final 250?

Best of luck to all who got through and unlucky to anyone who missed out this time. There will always be another chance though.

Didn't make it through as expected but did a lot better than I thought, not too far off the 250. Well done to all who got through and very best of luck for the rest of the competition. Out of curiosity, what is the next phase? And when are you all due to do it??

Has anyone still not received the email/message on pj's showing where they placed?

I got the message to say i had not made it but nothing further. Would love to know for my own sake.

Perhaps i came last and they're trying to save my blushes...

Got a mail saying due in next week. Resit those tests again only supervised this time. Haven't read through all the other stuff yet. Be there for a few hour according to the letter.

Ok weird one - just received a pm from another user to say that they received an email to say he hadn't gotten through the process but he was given his order of merit and it was the same number that I was given???

Are ye serious? Would they mail it on to you to verify? Jasus that would be a tricky one to explain, where were you or should I say You's placed?

Could this not be very possible if you got the same score? Like there could be 200 people on joint rank of 481?
    Just a thought.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 154 ✭✭amy1plus2

Well I don't know - I would have thought the order of merit places were individually allocated - otherwise, how would it be fair to choose which people got through? For instance if 3 people placed 250?? Well I have my email and the person that mailed me said they had theirs - no reason to suspect otherwise. Kind of ticks me off a bit to be honest...

I was placed 365 by the way

i would imagine its similar to the golf leader boards, i.e. if you have 3 fellas leading on -10 all 3 are classed as 1st

the fella chasing them is on -9 but he is placed in forth

    does that make sense?

Very unlikely unless there was a really high number of applicants and also would mean I would have had to get the exact same score as another person - not all questions were right or wrong possibilities? IYKWIM?

they were talking 1000s on number of applicants on this, dont know how true that is tho.

i emailed the test support with a query and they got back to me fairly sharpish maybe just ask them and see what they say
