Know what I miss ? Point and click adventure games - they used to be big in the late 80s to early 90s... now they're effectively dead, save for a few.

Games from the likes produced off Sierra [e.g. King's Quest series, Gabriel Knight, etc. ], Lucas Arts (ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS COMPANY) [ e.g. - Sam and Max, Monkey Island, etc. ], and Westwood [ e.g. The Legend of Kyrandia series ] to name some.

    Pure classics!

Broken Sword. Now that was a good point and click back in the day.

    Is that game historically correct?

Did Custer walk around naked with a massive bone killing indians?

Well yes Kent, yes he did.

Anyone remember North & South on the Amiga. Based on the American Civil war, great fun for such a simple game. Only killer was you couldn't use 2 joysticks with it for a 2 player game, someone had to use the keys!

Supercars 2.....what a game! Those heat seeking missiles :D

Came across a modern gem called Primordia for pc if you're interested.

Or there's a great puzzle based point and click called Machinarium also.

Think they're both on steam if you have it!

Grim Fandango. Played it when it was 10 years old and loved it.

I played some of the older Sega games recently and they are hit and miss wrt playability. Games like Alex Kidd are an absolute pain to play, but Golden Axe is still immense fun. Mario and Sonic will forever be classics

Also, I just finished Earthbound last week on the WiiU, what an awesome, awesome, loooong ass game! Zelda Links Awakening and Zelda LttP, awesome old games.

What are the chances of Mother 1 & 3 getting translated and put up on the VC or on disc?

They probably would have been able to run faster if they'd have taken the mud out of their football boots

I bought golden axe on wiiware and it was good craic but there were only 3 levels so I felt a bit ripped off.

Abes Odessey was another class game if anyone remembers it. Hours of fun rescuing your little alien dudes, whistling and farting your way through puzzles

I'm just talking about the content in the ones I posted - the sole aim in the first one is to cross a 'path' in order to rape a tied up native American woman (as a cowboy or whatnot), while in the latter gay S&M characters literally ass-rape you to death.

So much for people moaning about the negative effects of showing prostitutes or sex in GTA-type games, I guess. :p

Amazingly, not one person seems to have noticed haha!

Guess they weren't as popular as you thought OP

I preferred mind controlling the gun welding guards and killing the other workers in a murder suicide.
Or luring the workers into a trap/pit/meat grinder.

    ....what is wrong with me

Think a lot of people missed the original point of the thread by the OP - we ain't asking you about your fave retro games - its about games that had dubious sexual content in them back in the day and we probably didn't notice as kids...

Here is Mikie on Arcade, the chap who loves his classmate's, I had the C64 version....

That and Micro Machines were the best. I liked EA hockey on the megadrive too...the fights were far more fun than the modern NHL games.

Hell yes! had it on the old CPC 464.

Loved Gauntlet and Bruce Lee, also on the 464.

And the first Prince of Persia, in 2D.

    Feel old :(

It did suffer from a lack of logic with the puzzles like most point and clicks.

I hope this is ok, probably NSFW.

Disturbing that anyone would want to play this.

    A Japanese game called Rapelay

Itll be a long time before i find a game better than Metal Gear Solid 3.
Wipeout on the psone was great too, and crash bandicoot.

The Rocky Horror Show, where the baddies keep stealing your clothes.

    Rapelay's notoriety is overblown.

Plus, it wasn't widely available unless you pirated it.

That was mind blowing at the time

How can anyone be nostalgic for video games? They just keep getting better and better year after year.

The graphics maybe but gameplay wise there hasn't been any great changes since the ps1.

Playing pokemon red on an emulator, the memories :)

Just can't play the newer ones

Was that the one where you could walk around as a box and hand out dirty mags to distract people? :pac:
