Amazon UK is a headache!.....they dont deliver direct to Ireland, and you have to setup some Parcel Motel thingy....it just seems, complicated?

    1. Set up a PM account(Delivery centres all over RoI, select one nearest you).
    2. Change your amazon delivery address to PM centre in NI.
    3. ??
    4. Profit.
You'll get a text from PM telling you it's in your delivery centre.
When I joined PM, first two deliveries were free, E3.50 per delivery thereafter.

They have always delivered to Ireland(anything stocked from Amazon or fulfilled by amazon), and free for over £25. If you select express you will have them Mon 2nd Dec latest.

Most products amazon do deliver to Ireland. If they don't use Parcel Motel.

As others have said already Amzon do deliver to Ireland and delivery is free if the value is over €25. I use them all the time for games as they are generally the best price wise.

If a game comes out on Friday it will generally arrive on Tuesday as I always select free delivery not express.

In the past they would not deliver electronics because of the policy over here of being allowed to give your old appliance to the store for recycling. That has been relaxed now.

The Parcel Motel service is very handy when dealing with third party sellers who offer free delivery in the UK but will charge or not deliver to Ireland. It is also a very user friendly service.

Set up a Parcel Motel account, add the address to amazon address list and you're sorted. Any time you're buying something that will ship to UK only, or is a rip off to ship outside UK, use your parcel motel address.
Parcel Motel takes 5 minutes to set up and it's really really handy. I saved about 40 quid on getting a stereo delivered with my first 2 deliveries. Well worth doing!

Tried to purchase from UK website and ship to parcel motel address in NI but my credit card billing address is ROI and the website I'm buying from will not accept the billing address and the credit card address being non UK can anybody advise how to fix this? I've tried adding my ROI and my parcel motel NI address to my PayPal account and nothing works. Any advice appreciated thanks

I think most places are saying a preorder will get you second batch. No idea where the best place to buy at the moment is. Was just curious cos I preordered from Smyths on the Fonthill Road, was going to ask how big their list was. It was 3 pages long back in mid july!

Had the same problem a while ago, i even emailed them and asked what the story was, it makes no sense. Everyone I know gets stuff delivered to work which is obviously a different address to their credit card. They didn't seem to care, their policy was CC address only and that's it. I just ordered off a different site. I never get stuff delivered to my home address.

And no idea when the second batch will be here?

Does anyone know if those Red and Blue Dualshock 4 controllers will be available all the time, or are they limited edition?

Was in my local Gamestop this morning to add to my PS4 deposit and guy behind desk was trying to get me to put deposit down on one, saying that they will probably be limited edition, but I got the feeling he was just trying to up sales..

Just thought I'd ask on here, cheers!

Which is what I'm gonna do now. Have decided I'm gonna get AC4 at launch and order COD & Watch dogs with Amazon. Gonna hold off on Knack awhile.

Planning on doing a lot more online gaming when I get my PS4, can anyone recommend a good headset?
Was thinking of maybe getting this one but to be honest I don't have a clue if its worth the price or not.
    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Turtle-Beach-Call-Of-Duty/dp/B00D96BNGM/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1377535939&sr=8-8&keywords=Call+of+duty+headset

This is the headset I have at the moment:
    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sony-Wireless-Stereo-Headset-PS3/dp/B005H59GM6/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1377600423&sr=8-2&keywords=playstation+headset

and it's been brilliant. I've had it for a year and had no problems, plus it's an official Sony product designed for PlayStation use.
It's got sliders to adjust the volume and you can adjust how loud other player's voices are compared to the game noises. It's wireless, connects to a bluetooth USB dongle. Long battery life, not sure on exact life but from casual use, I've been able to use it for nearly a week without having to recharge. I don't know how it compares to other headsets because it's the only decent headset I've had but couldn't be happier with it. :D

I see there's a new version out now:
    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sony-PlayStation-Wireless-Stereo-Headset/dp/B008HODBAM/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1377601789&sr=8-4&keywords=playstation+headset

but according to reviews, it looks like it starts to crack at the sides

Just pre-ordered this morning. I took a chance with HN in Limerick. The guy in store reckons hardly anyone has pre ordered with them, but couldn't tell me about a list or tell me when I'd get it. Don't think he knew the release date himself. Won't have my hopes up too much to get it on the first release date anyway.

No bundles when I was in. They'll probably do them closer to release date.

REading the HN stories on this thread, it really sounds like they haven't a clue what the story is. It's another place that I definitely wouldn't give more than the minimun deposit

Bloody hell, that looks good. I have this:

Got it ages ago, but it has a few speakers in each earpiece so you can genuinely tell if they're in front or behind you. It looks like the sony one is only "simulated" 7.1, does it work well?
While mine is excellent sound, it has a little control box with a power cable, optical cable and cable for the headphones. I want to get something wireless and neater. But make sure it has proper directional sound. (btw, mine was £120, not the price there!)

Ditto. Just pre-ordered in there now. When I rang around 12, they said there was 5 on the list. I guess you are number 6, if the guy on the phone correct.

If they did only start taking pre-orders on 22nd August (the day I rang and they told me I'd be #1 on the list - which I was very suspicious about), then they may very well have been telling the truth.

When I went in in person, another guy said there are "very very few" on the list. He said they aren't sure how much they'll get at launch, but they've been guaranteed an allocation for it. They expect more than they have on the pre-order list at the moment.

He said to expect a phone call on the 29th (at least he knew it when it was out). Take from that what you will. I stuck down the minimum deposit. I've pre-orders now with Amazon & HN. TBH, as long as I have it for Christmas from either of them, I'd be happy out.

I have the newer one its very comfortable and great sound, the bass is a bit annoying with how sensitive it is but you can adjust it, battery life is about 4 hours but its a great headset.

Works well enough for me. There's a little button on the headset to switch on/off the surround sound feature. And it really makes a difference when it's on. It picks up footsteps in COD very well and you can tell where they're coming from (front, back, sides). I've never tried other headsets so if you were to try this one, maybe you would notice a drop in sound location accuracy compared to your own, but I would really recommend this one if you didn't want to shell out €100-€300.

If you want neat, the PS headset is literally the headset, and the dongle, nothing else. To adjust the sound, you just reach behind your ears and adjust the sliders, no control box. You charge it the same way you would a controller with a USB cord.

I also googled to make sure it works for PS4 and it does :D

Was in Tesco today and the manager in there was saying they expect to have a few and do a Mid night launch. He could have just been fobbing me off though.
