I pulled in at luttrellstown castle and told them if they didn't shut up they were getting a taxi from there. Didn't even pay petrol. Father will be getting a call some morning at 4 in the morning to pick me up from coppers! :pac:

Do you know what's the reason for the smaller ones on the back?

More than likely just to keep the cost down. It's possible to put a smaller size tyre on but I wouldn't do it as it distorts the handling and performance characteristics of the car. Also since it's RWD, a wider tyre can get the power down better and has more traction.

As far as I know you can have one car two drivers for a slightly higher fee. Makes it a lot more feasible, if you trust the other driver.

Seeing as I doubt I'll put it on the road again (after all the work that went into it) I may aswell go bananas on it and make it into a semi track van :) halfway there, just needs that engine transplant I never seem to have the time to fit it :pac:

Pretty much yeah, that one's tuned slightly but there's nothing past the manifold but pipe. :pac:

Oh and course, it's sold "for track use only."

    Track use.... Sure.... :p

When I had one on my van it set off alarms in the middle of Navan. Plus it was ear bleedingly loud for a 1.2 (406 isn't too far behind though :pac:)

A girl on my road used to go out with a guy that drove the loadest turbo Colt I've ever heard, I live next door to a retired Gard and the looks this chap used to get were unreal.

Well today I got stuck in a flash flood for almost 8 hours in California. Very scary watching the road, electricity poles and trees along with other debris being washed away. One of those massive lighting up road works signs was washed away along with a shipping container of a train. All of this could be seen from our car. There was a report of a car being washed off the road just near us (I didn't see it only one person did so it possibly wasn't a car) they were searching for it by helicopter when we left when the road was cleared. I hope everyone was alright. Pics to follow, possibly tomorrow. It was definitely the most eventful and scariest day I have ever spent in a car.

You'll get sick of a Spec II pretty quickly also chances of you finding one are slim to nil, even the Spec III is very thin on the ground. I have a Spec III and a Pro-Spec for my race car and the Spec III is so loud it doesn't pass scrutiny, not even close to it.

When I sell a Spec II I say 'This isn't road legal, it will annoy your neighbours, it will set off car alarms, it will not pass scrutiny at a track but it's your money'

Did somebody say it's 200 lids to do a trackday? That's a bit heavy! Any chance they would give us a discount for 10 cars?

No God no man, 40 it seems. 200 would see us pay for a rather long commute to the pits :)

its 185 if you prepay and 205 if you turn up on the day.
also for an extra drive its 40 quid.

for a half day on the bank holiday, its 125 if pre booked and 145 on the day.
An extra driver for a half day would be 30.
