True. Probably will make do for the Airplay to the tv option. Makes most sense financially for now.

yes its very cheap, but it will only work with SmartDNS or a very good VPN Service.

Smart DNS is incredibly cheap though so not too much of a worry

yes subscribed Overplay VPN with SmartDNS access. you can google it. it will only cost 4,95$/month. then you can stream with your full speed on AJS online :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 55 ✭✭becher

PS: to subscribe on AJS online you need the VPN once!
after that you only need the SmartDNS for streaming.

My mistake, i thought you were talking about premiers setup. He seems to have teased us and then disappeared. I'll have to go down this route then as seems like the best option.

I see you're from Dortmund, I'm in the near of Frankfurt. working on a Satsystem too. think a good chance is the Gibertini 125 dish with a good LNB. so you can get in Germany the channels 1-4 and HD 1-6.

Afaik, you can't get it on sat from ireland anymore as they moved satellites and you need a dish around 2m to pick them up, so that's not an option. You can subscribe to their online service with a vpn (mentioned above) and connect to tv with hdmi.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 55 ✭✭becher

the channels 5-10 are on Nilesat horizontal and so not to get in mid or north europe...

What's a VPN? I seen you can get it on a app too from Ireland?

another chance, but not as cheap as AJS online, is the IPTV-Box with AJS 1-10 and HD 1-6 and other sportschannels.

You should give Greenman a shout on here, he is in Belgium and im sure he has some success with 7.3west on a 1.2m channel master.

Are they the boxes that cost around €400? They're not worth it imo because the website is cheaper. I thought by the way he was talking that it was an iptv box but around the same price as ajs online with a monthly sub. I have since realised that something like that is unlikely to exist.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 55 ✭✭becher

yes, thats the box I mean. the good thing is you only have to connect it with your switch and TV and you have a very good quality stream and many other channels and sportchannels. thats why the box is most the time sold out at the shops.
but as I said its not cheap.

I wouldnt trust any of those boxes to last more than a few months and you have absolutely no guarantee of picture quality or service.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 55 ✭✭becher

    yes, thats right.
on the other hand, I think they earn much money with this streaming service and as far as I know the renewal is expensive too, so they will do everything they can to go on with this service.
the box worked even last season very good as some members said.

These IPTV servers are just the new Payservers .... no guarantee they will last and no guarantee the quality will be any good.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 55 ✭✭becher

yes, think too there is no 100% guarantee to the end of the season, but the quality of the HD streams is very good, as far as I can see it, but for 500 € you can expect it.
would recommend the AJS online at this point.

    15 a month? Online yes??

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 55 ✭✭becher

yes, think it was 135 $ / seasonpass for all channels 1-10 + HD 1-6
but don't forget the onetime VPN for the subs and 4,95 $/month for SmartDNS from Overplay.

and think about that many people subscribed so far at AJS online to get this services, so at 3pm the homepage and the stream is sometimes a little bit...

That would be a worry, alright. If the servers are getting hammered.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 55 ✭✭becher

think it will work over the season very well, maybe that were only some issues at the start.
that will be solved soon (hope so).
the important thing is to have the SmartDNS so that you can watch with your fullspeed.
